Apparently, @britelitebob has a direct connection to a manufacturer of something of the kind you're after. Now, you too can be part of 'beak nation', for an easy one time payment of $60. BLB can provide details.

Ha! Exactly my first reaction, too...Hey! Get off the sidewalk! Damned hooligans

This one always makes me laugh...
“I’m very surprised that inmates are allowed to keep hitchhikers!”

@betoney - I’m jealous! I haven’t been on the bike in almost a month... various conflicts of weather, work, life stuff, etc...
80% chance is rain tomorrow, but I may just bundle up and go anyway.

I see that Riders Discount has Bell Race Star carbon fiber helmets on sale for $349.97. That’s a great deal on a great helmet...

So did I, plus adjust tire pressures in the PR4s.Under partly sunny skies and temperature in the mid 70's I cleaned and readjusted my newish chain.
Then, I rode it like I stole it for 206.1 miles. Give or take.
Great day to be in the wind after the cold snap finally moved on...

Thanks @fr8dog and @koth442 - I appreciate your input. l’ll give them a call and see what they suggest. I don’t run with the hand guards, so that may give a little more flexibility on screen shape/width.
-
Installed a calsci tinted shorty this morning. Huge difference. Smooth air coming off it vs chaos from the oem shield. Been a good week. Heated grips ktm handguards and the wind screen. Pics to follow.
That’s it... I’ve got to give the CalSci shorty a try. I’ve been alternating between the stock screen and nothing at all, trying to figure out which way to go.
@fr8dog - may I ask how tall you are? I’m 6’1” and run the seat in the tall position, with the stock handlebars in the forward orientation.

I know them simply as a "bobcat" when in realty a bobcat is simply a brand of skid steer...
And the truth shall set you free...
thanks @duhs10 - that helps immensely

**Already spent 3hrs yesterday in the ditch waiting for the local plow guy boss to stop by with the skid steer... fun times it was...
As God is my witness, I don’t even know what a skid steer is...

I say go ride... 40F seems perfect to me!!
If it were clear and dry, I’d be out on the bike right now. But it’s grey and wet today, unfortunately... I ride for fun, and Friday’s forecast looks ‘more funner’
-
Its so sunny out I thought I could squeeze in a ride with my freshly reflashed ECU. Took a peak at the thermostat and its 14F (-10C)... Think I'll just stay at my desk.
It’s 40F here, and I’m too much of a wimp to get out for a ride today... mid-50s on Friday looks more tempting.
I don’t know how you guys survive in the seriously cold climates.

I swear I'm not stalking you, @betoneyHow do you like the R1 320mm brake conversion? It is the next mod I have planned but would like to hear real-world reviews on whether it is a significant upgrade.
But I have the identical question, as I'm also eyeing the R1 320mm rotor conversion. Those caliper spacers look nice... 12 mm I assume. May I ask where you got those, @ghostrider1127 ?

Yesterday I took the ECU out. About ready to ship to 2wheel for an ECU flash
Ah! You’re a step ahead of me... I’ve already paid for it via the 2WDW Black Friday sale, but haven’t pulled the ECU off the bike yet.
I’m excited to finally be getting this done.

That boy ain’t right...

This looks a bit ominous...

Don’t panic if the bike still seems dead after you reorient the battery, as you likely blew a fuse or two. Easy fix, and no permanent damage done.I think that might be the issue. The positive side was facing the tail of the bike. I will try that when I get home. Thanks for the help.

This game will take off a lot more in the spring when more members can participate. However, I'm sure there are some members who could get a head start on the rest of us
Sorry. I’m out riding my FJ09, and will respond to your message when I return.

@tb - Are you sure you have the battery oriented correctly in the box? The positive terminal of the battery should be towards the front of the bike. The battery actually lays on its side, with what you would typically consider the ‘top’ of the battery facing towards the right side of the bike. If you install it with the ‘top’ facing upwards, the polarity of the battery ends up reversed relative to the wiring. This came up in a thread fairly recently, and I recall mention of some kind of an electric noise from under the tank before the main fuse blew.

@pattonme - I’m definitely in on the spacers for the R1 rotor swap. Personally I would go with stainless hex-drive head bolts, but would be fine with whatever you decide to bundle
-
@wordsmith - I don’t typically go for that kind of thing, but gotta admit I really like the rim decals in this case. I have a spare set of wheels, so may look into doing something similar with a pair.
