  1. OK, Make sense, thanks for the info. This is my first bike with any kind of significant windshield.
  2. It took all of 15 minutes to install the new windscreen and hand guards. Are the windscreen screws made of plastic or Al? I managed to only mangle them a little bit, but come on, use real fasteners.
  3. I will be installing the Givi hand guards today along with the windshield. Ordered them from Italy as I could not find the windscreen in the USA. Here is a shot of the screen and hand guards. The guards replace the airfoil like protrusion and just bolt on. https://www.motostorm.it/en/accessories/motorcycle-parts/givi-plexiglass-extension-eh-2122-smoked-for-original-hand-protectors.html
  4. Just repalced my worn out Alpinestars with a new pair of TCX Explorer EVO Gore-Tex Boots. Very comfortable for a wide foot and cooler than I expected for a fully waterproof boot. Looks great and can be worn all day with no issues. Stiff left to right (as they should be) to prevent torsion on your ankle, but very flexible up and down to allow peg and shifting movements. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-explorer-evo-gore-tex-boots
  5. I ditched my Arai Signet GT early last year after about 10 years of use. It worked great for years, but it fell apart on me while going 50 mph. Thankfully I was on my way to a bike rally with alot of vendors, so I got to try several on at the same time. I went with the Schuberth C3 Pro. I had some reservations about spending so much on helmet, but I got it at a good price ~$670. It is so quiet, light, and cool (looking and wearing). All of the controls are easy to use with a gloved hand. I have a big head, so if I can find a helmet that fits, price is not my primary concern.
