Sorry Graham, just now saw your question. It's the Doran 360M system. Unfortunately it's no longer available! The local tire shop screwed up one of the sensors and now I can't get a replacement. I'm looking for another system also now.

 

I can't seem to find my original install instructions but wondering if I missed something. The 3 screws do just go from the inside of the top box directly into the pad, right? The only thing I remember was something about a minimal torque setting for the screws. I was careful not to overtighten the screws. I even checked the tightness of the screws a while back to make sure they hadn't loosened and did tighten a couple of them. 

I got the backrest pad for the 39L Yamaha top case. It comes with 3 screws to attach the pad to the topcase. The screws go from the inside of the top case and screw into the back of the pad. After a couple of months the screws worked their way out of the foam pad and I was lucky not to lose the pad. This is a really poor design as the screws screw directly into the foam pad. The pad should come with some kind of insert to screw into rather than just the foam.

Has anyone else had this same problem and found a good solution? I'm tempted just to use gorilla glue on the whole surface of the pad.

I can't seem to find the plug I cut off. Maybe it was light grey. It was definitely the lighter color of the two that were there and yes, had 2 cylindrical connectors. The the other was a square and black.I wasn't too concerned with the amperage since I was only connecting a TPM. I'm sure it is a fused circuit.

I just went through this on my 900GT to install a tire pressure monitor. I took the easy way out and just cut off the white connector behind the dash and connected the new wire with bullet connectors. The only problem is that you don't have much wire to work with. If I wanted to connect something else later there's almost wire left to work with.

has anybody ridden some distance through the rain ? wondering if the sidecases are waterproof?

sorry, I had assumed the Nikon GT bags would be the same as the Tracer GT bags. I have the Tracer GT and been through a couple of toad stranglers with no problems with the hard bags. My bad!

Are you saying the bags on the Tracer GT aren't waterproof and the FJR bags are?

Did you ever order the plug needed to connect to the factory wiring plug that you uncovered? If so, could you share what kind of plug it is and where you found it?
 
I have most of my accessories wired through my electric tank bag off the battery, there's a couple of other items that I'd like to plug off the accessory wiring when I'm not using the tank bag.

Won't stop someone from whizzing in your helmet but keeps your passenger from giving you dirty looks when they have to carry their lid while you walk around unfettered...

I've used these on all my bikes for many years. Really like them. Only problems I've had is that on one bike (forget which) one helmet would hang against a hot muffler - wouldn't be a problem on FJ-09 / Tracer. Also the helmets are hung upside down so if left out in a rainstorm will get pretty wet. 

I wouldn't discount the Yamaha touring windshield. I just came back from a 2000 mile ride in NM including a couple of 400 mile days and it worked well for me. I'm about 5' 9"
 

So if I reverse the position of the lower posts, the bar ends will be further away from the rider, correct?
 
Is there any fine adjustment? Can the bars just be rotated by loosening the top clamps and rotating the bars?

On page 4.37 of the owners manual it says that the handlebar can be adjusted to one of two positions to suit the rider preference. I haven't removed the clamps to look but it would appear that you would just loosen he clamps and rotate the bars to where you want them. I don't understand the 2 position thing. It also says this should be done by the dealer! I'm sure that's a liability thing.
 
Anyone played around with this? I've got short arms and would like to bring the grips further back.
 
 
Also, anyone know the torque settings for the clamp bolts?

Is the plug connector a Yamaha part or available from any electrical parts store? I don't recognize it.
 
 

Thanks everyone. My original question was asking where the auxiliary DC connector is that is referenced in the owners manual. So the connectors are behind / under the windshield mounting plate on the Tracer GT. Meanwhile I decided to use an SAE power cord off the battery through a Fuze Block in an RKA In-Charge tank bag.

 

 

 

 
These are 3 pictures of the instrument area with the windshield removed. Without removing more plastic I can't see any accessory wiring.
 

KC, I've had the screen off several times to switch between the stock screen and the touring screen and there is the plate behind it that is the height adjustment. I'll try to send pictures later.

KC, I tried to look in the area behind the screen / under the instruments but that area is pretty well enclosed and without pulling stuff apart, I really couldn't see under there. Meanwhile I solved the problem by getting an RKA electric tankbag. I used a FuzeBlock inside the tankbag to distribute the power to my Zumo, Radar detector and Iphone. I power the tankbag off a single SAE power cord that runs under the seat.
 
 

I just noticed they were 'currently unavailable'. good to know delivery isn't to far out. Trying to decide which size to get. Price doesn't seem to bad but backrest pad is a little steep!

I bought the luggage rack for the 900GT and use it to carry a soft bag when touring solo. When doing day trips with my wife I want a top case (mainly for the back rest for her). Does anyone know if the top cases advertised on the Yamaha web site fit directly on their Yamaha aftermarket luggage rack or is there some other mounting plate required?

2019 Tracer GT. on pg 4-42 of the manual it references an Auxiliary DC Connector. This is different from the DC Jack which is described on pg 4-41 and is limited to 2A.
 
It says 'This vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary DC connector. Consult your Yamaha dealer before installing any accessories'.
 
Does anyone know where this is and any more about it. I'd like to know why this would be any better than  a fused pigtail connected directly to the battery,
