  1. Was able to find a new Red '21 & my dealer was able to trade for it.  Bike will be in western NY but I'm a snowbird presently in Zephyrhills Florida.  Luckily not far from Madstad Engineering in Brooksville so will be getting their windshield system soon.  Previously had anFJ-09 and sold my '10 FZ1 recently to return to a triple.  Also have a '19 FJR A which most likely I'll sell once I go back in early March.  Glad to to back on the forum.

  2. Brian as you know the MT-10 is really the 3d gen of the FZ1 but this gen has much closer cross plane engine to the R1.  Didn't put a lot of miles on mine, only 882 b4 I sold it but overall it was a good experience.  Somewhat heavier than FJ obviously but weight seemed to be on a lower cg so it handled well imo.  It tracked very well thru corners with bars providing great leverage..  Cruise control was a big plus as was the quick shifter.  Edgy looks meant the bike stood out from other naked sport bikes. Only negative was gas mileage was not great as it's tuned for power.  Hope this helps.

  3. I rode over & purchased a kit which I got for 20% off for cash & local pick up. Won't be able to tell you more as my FJ is still crated in New York. Won't pick it up till the end of April when I return to the frozen north after wintering in Florida. Didn't appear to be too difficult to switch between screens. You did notice that you have to remove the outer hand guard cover to fit the Madstad screen right?
  4. Gonna ride over to Madstad to look at their kit this coming week. Saw it mounted on a bike in a dealership here in Zephyrhills, Florida. Madstad is located in Dade City, Florida, next town North.
Did you ride over to Madstad yet?
They now show an 18" version for the FJ-09, might work well for my multi-day rides (I'm 5' 7".)

I'm curious about how easy it would be switch back and forth between the 18" Madstad, and my current CalSci shorty (which I may cut down shorter.)
