  1. Ordered one thus morning thanks. I’m looking forward to it arriving
  2. Hi guys. Can anyone recommend a aftermarket or Yamaha windscreen which protects better than standard. Thanks in advance
  3. No offence taken. Thanks for all your comments which have made interesting reading. Ride and keep safe guy’s
  4. Well said my friend people never cease to amaze me 😁
  5. There is no need to respond. Just accept I put a post up with my experience so others can think that what I have done is interesting and something they might contemplate or one may think ok this change wouldn’t work for me but I’ve ridden the bike in both std form and the new configuration so I no how it feels. you guys are only imagining so you can’t possibly state it is no good ect ect. It’s a forum and whilst comments are welcomed, accusations are not. Stay safe guys
  6. Foolish individual. You are obviously digging yourself a hole my friend. You are clearly a person who can’t tell his ass from his elbow. Great entertainment tho
  7. Sorry my friend. I do not agree. My vehicles probably all rev more slowing down than they do going forward. One can touch my brakes after a journey and that’s the way it’s staying.
  8. The Honda looks good and I may well do a test ride in the future and see if it compares to the tracer. I will keep the gearing I have gone to as I definitely couldn’t go back to standard. I dint no about mpg yet but was getting about 67 mph on surf gearing. ANY vehicle I drive will be slowed down with the gears and it’s good practice to do that. It’s not harmful to the clutch at all or transmission and is the correct of driving. A lady and her granddaughter was killed locally as a lorry lost its brakes as the inexperienced driver tried to stop his lorry. With brakes down a long hill and they overheated and failed when if he had used the gears from the top he would have done a safe decent so I am glad your not teaching me pal. My daughters driving instructor taught her to coast up to a junction and stop with the brakes which is incorrect. Bad practice and I taught her how to do it properly. Thanks for the comments
  9. I’m mearly sharing my experience for others to see one dosant have to put up with a bike if it’s not quite to here liking. Interestingly the chain and sprockets company I use said it’s the first thing people change when they get any bike as the gearing that comes as std is normally to revvy
  10. Thanks chap. Agreed we all ride differently and I’m definitely more of a low end torque guy. I dint go racing around at high revs as I’ve made it to 57 and want to enjoy my retirement with two legs and two arms. The bike is brilliant and I’m very very critical and if I dint like something I do my best to change it. I really love this bike a lot. A lot more than I thought I would. Safe riding
  11. Thanks for your message I’ve been around engines long enough to no when an engine is happy. It’s a touring bike not a track racing bike. I haven’t read anywhere that this bike must be ridden above 6000 rpm. I’d have bought a R1 if I’d wanted to do that. My bike is fantastic. Getting the gearing as I want it has been the icing on the cake. What I have done has not been detrimental to any part of the bike . Its now the perfect bike for what I want it for . 100/100 Cheers
  12. If I was having to skip the clutch I would go back to standard. When driving cars , bikes and my lorry I use the gears to slow down 1/ as it’s after as the brakes don’t get hot and 2/. Because brake components are expensive so therefore your accusation is rubbish as I definitely would not want the clutch to be working any harder than it Woukd in a standard bike as it will cost money. Next question please
  13. 16/47??? 15/44??? not sure what you mean
  14. What makes you think that? the bike is amazing. No problems just personalising it to my liking I’m very very happy with the bike
