  1. Are we twins? I have the same 2 jackets with the kili in gray and rev'it in black.
  2. Like several others here, I'm pleased with my Firstgear Kilimanjaro. I find it to be reasonable from around 35f with layers under it to around 80f and all the vents open. It runs large, I'm wearing a XL when I'd be XXL in other brands (6'2" 250 lbs)
  3. Not sure I'm comfortable at this point removing and reinstalling the forks, need to do more research before making that leap.
  4. Spoke with the folks at Cogent, very nice and tried to understand goals instead of just pushing spending all the money. They can ship the shock, and could work on the forks if i sent them, but won't be taking any service work on whole bikes. I'm feeling comfortable doing the rear shock myself but not the forks, so the search continues.
  5. 732 gang, welcome! Former NJ-er here. Hope you're making out ok with all the snow.
  6. Thank you for the suggestions, will keep those GA shops in mind if there's nothing closer that works out. Found out about Cogent Dynamics near Asheville, going to give them a call this week to understand their options.
  7. Today I downloaded the Calimoto app, and would strongly recommend it. it's a GPS app that will plot your course on twisty roads to your destination. You can record your ride to repeat or share, and can try rides from other users. The round trip feature lets you pick a distance, then will come up with a random round trip route back to your location, and on twisty roads. I will often only get to ride for 2 hours or so, and I think this will make for more entertaining rides when on a schedule. calimoto I'm not compensated for this review in any way, just wanted to share something I really liked! Mods, please move if this is in the wrong sub, thanks!
  8. Hey all, just picked up a new to me 2015 FJ-09 last week and am planning on making suspension updates. Anyone have a recommendation for a suspension shop in the charlotte NC area?
  9. Lemme check the running list I've made so far: -seat -v2 clutch cable -slipper clutch -suspension
  10. ....and thank you for the welcome, excited to be part of the community
  11. I told myself I'd save some money by buying one a little older, but will likely just spend the difference on mods and farkles. First stop is getting the seat fixed, it's a Sargent that keeps falling out of the higher position...
  12. Just picked up a new-to-me 2015 FJ-09 this week and am loving it. Coming from a Versys 650, so quite a difference in the "motivation".
