Hi Everybody,
Happy to have just discovered this forum ! Quick intro : Just turned 63 today , have been riding since 16.
Have owned many bikes, still have 6 in the garage, My track days are over but I bought the FJ9 as soon as
it became available in the US. It had great reviews in Europe (called MT9 Tracer there) and  while I was set
on the new water cooled 1200GS, I thought the FJ9 was a better choice . First, a better bang for the buck , lighter
and with plenty grunt. I got it in April and it was a struggle to get the bags, heated grips since they released the bike
before the options were available. A little noise at the Austin MotoGP  Yamaha tent helped but all was installed only in July.
Then Motek protectors were not available and I only got them a few weeks ago. Overall, I love the bike except for one thing!
The seat, it sucks big time ! like my earlier sportbikes ( RC51 and Duc 1098) I tried to lessen the problem with a gel pad but
the fix is on its way , a Corbin that should be here soon.  Suspension in stock trim needed some adjustments and our local
specialist (Washington cycle in NJ) did a great job. Fall is here soon in the N.E. and plenty of fun still ahead. Enjoy ! ;)
