Hate to break it to ya'll...but here in Arizona, the riding season is just getting under way. Highs in the low 70's/upper 60's during "winter" here!!
-
Meh, forgive me. I meant bolts. And I havent looked at the bike to see what our dealio was. Regardless, I will be looking to clean it up this weekend.
-
Thanks for the video...guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Will go to the hardware store and pick up the screws ahead of time.Sensor is starting to go bad.
-
Have to get up there first right? Highway speed is usually 80-90. I keep it peaceful on the city streets. The Akropovic exhaust does its job in making me heard for at least half a mile away for ol' smoky to hear me and pick me up.
So, when on the FJ are you not on the throttle or over 80 mph?Seems to happen less when I'm on the throttle or over 80mph.
Asking for a friend...

I also have just recently had this issue arise as the temps started to drop here in Phoenix. For me it is 5th gear. Comes and goes. Seems to happen less when I'm on the throttle or over 80mph.

Holy shenanigans...seeing the picture from the rear of the foam pieces really shows the difference. I'm curious to hear how much improvement it is. Makes me wonder if I'd be treating myself too much with all that cushion!!!

I think 2wdw said on the dyno they had one up in the range of 160s

I finally had the recall completed yesterday. Took them almost a month to get the parts in.
-
I called in, and was informed my bike was affected by this recall. Waiting for them to get the parts in and will make an appointment.
-
They're holding up like a champ, and I'm still loving them. Still no issues. Haven't been able to ride recently though....its been 110*F + here in Phoenix as of late. BARF
zachd, are these footpegs holding up well?Got my Amazon pegs installed today. The left side peg has to be drilled out since it is riveted, otherwise...they went in without a hitch. I reused the oem pin on the right side. Had to use the supplied pin for left side. I used the OEM springs for both sides. What a vast improvement over the OEM pegs. And at a whopping $11.50, you can't go wrong. Install took about ten minutes.

I have my stebel mounted in the stock location and didn't have to extend any wires. I used the wiring harness suggested by Amazon for the install. No interference with any other lines. I ended up modifying the stock mount ever so slightly. IIRC, I had to drill out the oem mount ever so slightly larger to accommodate the oem bolt.

Those who ask, shall receive!
Got a link?Nope! haha. Found it from an online retailer for $860 shipped.

Nope! haha. Found it from an online retailer for $860 shipped.Got my Two Brothers Black Series exhaust installed today. It's very loud, but sounds absolutely fantastic under WOT. And it looks downright sexy (Since running 100 miles on it, the header has a nice golden hue to it now). For longer multi-day trips, I am going to install a baffle, there's no way I'll survive otherwise.
Dang that's beautiful. Did you sell a kidney for it?

I've got the same bag. I used it on my FZ though, not the FJ. It's a great bag. I actually have done 3 day trips with it no problem.
I like that OGIO tail bag. I went with a bigger option and got the Nelson Rigg CL-1040-TP. Its 29L expandable to 39L and fits the back seat pretty well. It can even hold a full face helmet when expanded. You can find some decent deals on Amazon for it if anyone is interested... http://www.amazon.com/Nelson-Rigg-CL-1040-TP-Black-Jumbo-Expandable/dp/B00AC6Y9S6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

Crazy though....I bought the bag when it was only $86.

Wow, impressive.
Wessie....Don't emission restrictions suck? Here in Arizona, motorcycles, regardless of age, are never required to do any sort of emission testing. It's awesome! Heck, cars here aren't even required to do it until the vehicle is 10 years old.

Thanks for the tid-bit. After reading this, I actually sent them an email saying I had bought the kit from Revzilla, and did not receive them in the package.I noticed the handguard displacers on the install instructions as well, but when I got the kit they were not there. Since I contacted Puig regarding the handguard displacers prior to ordering and used their recommended vendor. Puig sent me the displacers free of charge direct from Spain. It was a little annoying, but glad I contacted them ahead of time.
Their reply:
Hello Zachary:
Yes please, email us the purchase receipt and we will supply the handguards displacer at no charge.
Also, please confirm the shipping address.
Thank you for your interest.
Score!!! Thanks!

Yes, the top layers hit the windscreen, and had to be removed.
Did you have to shift/remove the hand guards (top layer that it)?It is a Puig Touring, and I love it!

It comes with is 3 strips of double sided tape (which are already applied to the part), and 4 push rivets. You'll need to supply your own 5/32 drill bit. Otherwise, this is probably the easiest part you'll ever install on the bike.
Does the kit come with the nuts and bolts?Installed a fenda-extenda. Took all of about 5 minutes. No removal of any parts, simply drilled slowly using a 5/32 bit.

Do you live in Belgium @zachd - I can understand needing those lights & horn in Belgium where most car drivers seem to have evolved to a point where their ears & eyes have limited function.
No, West coast of the good ol U S and A.
But drivers here are so glued to their phones and distracted it's awful. I like to be seen and be heard. A few close sideswipes was enough for me to determine I wanted a few extras to try and help prevent it as much as possible. I know there have been times since installing my driving lights that I could tell they've helped drivers see me. And the horn....well Holy Jesus it's loud as hell. I also do an excessive amount of night riding, and as of late I've been camping off the bike. So it's nice having the extra light at night going down dirt roads in the woods.
What did you do to your FJ-tracer-gt today?
