That is not right. Looks like it is loose. Check the swing arm and relay arm for side play. If it was me I would take it to the dealer and have yamaha pay for it. I also have the shown gap. Perhaps there is a spacer ther we can not see but it is most certainly note loose. Did you show this to technicians??

I get it on mine as well. A few mm of play as described (3500 miles on the clock)

Just fitted the Polisport sharp handguards. Certainly a cleaner, less bulky look than stock, but for their installation i just had to file them a bit especially the LHS, at the clutch cable area. The fit is relatively snug i would say. I have not taken them out on a ride so i can not comment on wind protection. They are only ~£20 ($30) so if they are no good they will be replaced. I really did not want to go down the KTM handguards route. Having owned a KTM before, i do not really want to spend any more money on this brand..

Just sharing some information, i enquired about the bitubo xze 31/32 from bitubo themselves and i was told that it is not compatible with the FJ-09 or Tracer even if it is coompatible with the FZ-09 or MT-09 (http://www.bitubo.com/road_ammortizzatori.php). Not sure why. The Hyperpro shocks are good but will require the HPA for setting up the preload, i think. The Ohlins S46DR1 comes with the 'S' guise to include the HPA (S46DR1S). I tried to find the price for the hydraulic adjuster by itself, since it could be fitted retrospectively, but no luck.

So they are inside the stock handguard which is what i was kind of thinking as well. After being stuck today in traffic in London, i think it is time to replace the stock handgurads. They add ~ 10 cm to the width of the bar and filtering becomes difficult if not impossible in many cases. The KTM guards though can be expensive even when used and they have now been superseded. I will keep looking however!
