Took the FJ for a nice 300 mile round trip from New Market AL to Waverly TN for work, taking advantage of the last few days of this extended summer. It reached 90°F yesterday at home, a new record high for this time of year, but the high temperature is supposed to drop 20° starting tomorrow evening. None the less, it's nice when I can combine pleasure and work.

I lived in Manassas and Warrenton outside of DC during the '00s and found outstanding roads to ride south towards Remington and west towards Woodstock. Beautiful country for riding.

Beak installed. I concur with the opinion that everyone's taste is different, but for me the beak works on the FJ-09. La beauté est dans l'oeil de celui qui regarde.

I took the new bike down to the county court house to get it registered, taxed and tagged. Now it's all legal and ready for me to start putting some serious time in the seat.
