It's just more bar with the same exact amount of protection.
Hepco & Becker's guards wouldn't let the bike touch below where the engine guard ends because of the additional crash pad.
The only real difference is that the Givi bars aren't as thick.
Currently getting the Hepco & Becker side carriers, Alurack, engine guard, Xplorer cases, and Ermax touring screen installed so that she can be ready to show off at the AIM Expo in Orlando next month!
I'll be posting about the couple of different Ermax windshield options in the MotoMachines section in a couple of days, pictures included! There will be an original windshield reproduction, a sport screen, and a touring screen. the latter two having color matching options!
