I fitted these to my 2017 Tracer 900, a tiny bit of of jiggling with the master cylinder and it fits fine, i didn't need bar ends

Thanks for the input. I was able to make them fit by installing the inner bracket first with the clutch and brake levers loose and slip the bar end over the weight, but it was definitely snug.

I have a Skene controller on my spotlights. This makes them running lights with low beam and spotlights with high beam. I have them switched from the rear of the headlight controller at the base of the lights.

Can you tell me how you've got it wired? I have this as well and tapped into the back of the light controller and I can't get it to function properly. The lights are working right now but dim when I hit the high beams.

ok, 1 suggestion if possible to do:  have some way to attach a keyfob/lanyard/"remove for flight" tag to it.

Looking at picture of it sitting on top of fork it's just asking to fall into the netherworlds of fairing/frame/engine void.

Unless you make another mold as tool to easily remove the fairings and sell that one separately!

    😄

I plan to stick it under the seat, shouldn't ride with it on, I wouldn't think. Or keep it in a tank bag.

  4. I bought a pair to upgrade my front signals, however, am I the only one that has issues with them sitting flush?? The housing of the light is too large to sit down in the recess of the panel and if it were to sit flush on top of the panel the mounting stud wouldn't be long enough to secure it. So to those that have installed them, did you add some sort of plastic spacer or adapter plate behind them? That's what I get for thinking this would be an quick and easy install.

Did you ever finish this project? I'm curious whether you tapped into the yellow/black or yellow wire for the high beam trigger. I'm in the middle of six straight weeks of work travel so I haven't had time to chase voltages myself.

No I've been working a lot and traveling some as well. I might be able to work on it next weekend but I'm leaving for Chicago tomorrow.

Basically ran 70s to 30 and then 39 over to Tellico Plains and the Cherolla Skyway over to Robbinsville.  Up 129 to Deals Gap.

That's the route I always take! 30 in and out of Spencer and Pikeville are a BLAST!

A still open question is whether using the yellow/black wire to trigger an aux light relay is safe. The other thread suggests that some current feedback from the relay might damage the ECM. A number of people report they've used the yellow/black wire for triggering, and the only person who has reported a problem is FrankQC. He claims to be an "electronics engineer," and he generally seems to know what he's talking about. But anybody can make mistakes and/or experience bad luck.

I suppose it's true that the high beam indicator light would be a safer trigger source. It's a light bulb, so it's switched on by voltage. But the light and wiring are inside the instrument cluster, which would make it pretty hard to get to.

I haven't had the time since making this post originally to check on the power sources yet, but in my instance the trigger wire is sent to the dimming module before any type of relay so it may have less impact in my set up. I don't really know but I hope to tackle this soon and report back! I do have the wiring diagram though so I'll see if I can find or get to the indicator light wiring.

Something for a longer trip. Natchez Trace Parkway.  444 miles of no stop lights or stop signs. Beautiful views and the road is kept in great shape.  More history than you can ever soak in.

Just don't get caught speeding, its a National park and park rangers love to make the government money out there.

I've never had a problem there but others I know have. Sucks for them hahaha
