Finally got things sorted out today.  But not by the local dealer from whom I bought the bike.

My local dealership is a real mess!!

Very shameful that your local dealer doesn't represent Yamaha in a more positive light.  Glad to hear your bike's back in service, though...there's lots to enjoy about it!

Word to the wise in N VA, stay away from Coleman Powersports. It's a clown show over there, sad to say.

'Fraid I've heard the very same thing from some of my local riding buddies, Rich.  Terrible after-sale service, borderline incompetence, etc.  Sad, indeed.  Hope your wobble gets sorted out in good time.

The bike is sold. I appreciate all the assistance and wonderful information this forum brought and was happy to contribute where I could. Wishing you all sunny days ahead!

Best of everything to you and your family, Gerdawg!!

Stop whining and go buy one.  You know you want it.

    Haha!!  Get some, Coop!!  😂

Larz, it sounds like you have the riding experience.  Only my opinion, but if you're physically able to reach it and comfortable enough in the GT's saddle, everything else is CAKE.

Send us a pic once you pull the trigger on a new one, eh?

I ride with a GPS 100% of the time and my bike always reads 2 mph higher than the GPS.

Same here; Indicated is 2 mph faster than Actual across all speeds, per my Zumo 550.  Never had a bike that was spot on from the factory.  This one has the least amount of differentiation among bikes I've owned...so far.

  6. Had to avoid the quintessential SUV-driven-driver-eating-a-sandwich-and-listening-to-a-favorite-tune-and-not-seeing-me-NEXT-to-her on the way home yesterday.  Decides she wants to share my lane while bopping behind the wheel and lost in her own little world.  The level of rampant dumbassery out here is ASTOUNDING...

    Beautiful afternoon otherwise.  😁

  7. I used my bench grinder to lightly grind down a 1/4"  drive 10mm socket a little at a time until it fit inside the mirror arm's recessed pocket, then snugged up that recessed nut.  Worked like a charm and ended the mirror arm drifting when I roll over the occasional washboard moguls on my daily commute.

Holy buckets, I almost went down.  All two miles into the first commute of the year.

The car never slowed down, never attempted to return back to the right lane, never offered any kind of apology.

Yep, all too familiar, Roadwarrior.  Glad things didn't get worse.  And when s*t like this happens, somehow it's all our fault...

    Stay frosty out there.
