I have the same issue. I ordered a cheap Chinese made foot stand enlarger (adds about 3~5 cm height and 1.3 times of the original foot stand size) but the manufacture was poorly made and couldn't fit at all.

I'm considering something more expensive but not so expensive, any suggestion?

PS: GIVI's foot stand enlarger looks decent, but its like freaking $40~$50 USD without shipment fee...

    I ordered this one https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZPYGXB5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .

Fit perfectly and was about 1cm thick .

Love the QS, odd that anyone would want to disable it?

For me it just didn't feel right. When I would shift under heavy throttle you would feel a noticeable deceleration, as in it would cut ignition for too long.  I also had someone else ride it that was more familiar with the QS and he also agreed there was something wrong with it.

  3. I did it and voted. What I noticed is that at first push on bike there is a good amount of resistance and I can hear it pull the chain tight. This is after sitting overnight and therefore the clutch would be about as dry and plates would be as compressed together as they would ever be. After first roll back and forth it then seemed to lessen up on resistance and rolled more easily. Still a little there but much less than at first.

    Hope this helps.

I personally like having the paper book. Find it easier to read. I do also have the PDF file if anyone wants it just PM me and you can have it. It's not searchable but if that is important to you here is where you can buy one at what I'd say is a good price. $17.95 for digital download.

Here is a paper copy but it isn't bound like my original. Has some cheap plastic holding it together. http://www.service-shop-repair-manual.com/yamaha-tracer-900-gt-tracer-900-part-lit-11616-32-10-service-shop-repair-manual/

And here is OEM at $78. https://www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/LIT-11616-32-10

    PM me for PDF.

Here is a link to the Owners Manual.  https://www.mediafire.com/file/ztol49lszldw0gt/Tracer_900GT_owners_Manual.pdf/file PM me for link to Shop Service manual.

  5. I can't say for sure but I think this (MTT09DALB) is the same as American model and would use same manual. I've noticed that some of illustrations in my manual show old LED dash. Guess it's just mistakes in publishing.

  7. First off welcome to Forum and a great new bike.

    1. When I got mine I went over it with a torque wrench and found no problems. The chain is something that many on Forum have debated and I found it to be a little on the tight side.

    2. The stock tires aren't the greatest so I'd say use them up as much as you feel comfortable with while learning the bike and go with the Roadsmart 3. I've been using them for about 3 sets now and love them. Very neutral steering and they don't seem to change for the worse as they wear out. I've been getting  about 4000 to 5000 a set out of them in NC mountains. Live much of the year about 1 hour from Deal's Gap. I'm a moderately aggressive 200 pound 60 yr old rider.

    3. The suspension didn't feel very good to me so I went and spent the money on Traxion Dynamics front AK20 cartridges and springs and a Penske rear shock set for my weight. Made a huge difference. I think it is money well spent but was pricey.

    4. Haven't used bags much but maybe 8000 miles out of 30,000 on bike so haven't found any major problems with them. Some have said that screws for lock mechanism have come loose and have re-tightened and locktited them and all was fine. I once lost a bag from another bike so I'm thinking of trying to find a way to secure better if possible.

I've put on some of the standard types of engine protection which is cheap insurance against breaking an engine sidecase. Also did ECU flash with full exhaust. Other small changes, such as Handlebars and levers, can be done to tune it to fit you.

  8. These are modern o-ring chains most are running now. I hope you're being facetious. I carry a can of lube on the bike. I lube it when I think of it and it may be 300 miles it may be 1000 mile. What do I care? If it wears out in 20,000 miles vs. 25,000 miles it doesn't matter to me I'll replace it. $160 for chain and sprockets. So what! I don't worry about the small amounts I have to pay for the pleasure.

  9. WARNING! Failure!! This adjuster failed!! I did this review 6 months ago and thought all was well. The problem with this type of adjuster is that it has to pull the axle backwards where as the stock adjuster pushes it backwards. The adjuster has a hollow bolt inside it that pulls assembly backwards and this broke. That allowed the axle to come forward and put TOO much slack in the chain. Avoid this type and stick with stock. Stock is a hassle to adjust but it can't fail the way these do.

Just got this chain tensioner from Amazon. It says it is for FZ09 and MT09 but in looking at those models swingarms, and a little measuring, I thought it would a very good chance it was the same as Tracer 900GT and it fit perfectly.

In mounting it you first have to tighten the 5mm allen screws that lock the section on that hooks over the very rear tip of swingarm.

I then loosened the small 2mm allen screws to then insert the big anchoring bolt through the gap as shown in photo #1. I put locktite on that bolt as it will hopefully never need to come apart.

After that just put in place(there is a left and right to it), and thread in large bolt to hold it still. I lightly tightened large bolt then tightened 2mm allen screws, which clamp down on large bolt a little, and then tightened large bolt the rest of the way. It's now locked in place. I put the axle back in, adjusted the chain with the 4mm allen screw at back, torque axle and we'll see how it holds up over time and use.

In the 4th photo it looks like the part of tensioner that hooks over rear of swingarm may rub against the ring that is against the sprocket when removing rear wheel, but I don't think it will be an issue. It clears it in rotation.

The yellow indicator light tells you that you have turned the cruise on.  You then have to push the "set" button and it will lock in your current speed.

And when you press the set button a secnd light will come on.

There are Road 5's and Road 5 GT's. The GT's per Michelin are what is recommended on the Concours because of the weight. When I bought Michelins for my Concours last year the Road 5 GT's weren't available yet and Michelin recommended I use the Road 4 GT's because of the weight of the Concours. Different TP recommendations also

Mine were Road 5 GT's. I misspoke in post.
