Make sure to let us know how you like it after the install.
Got the kit installed tonight. This thing seems LEGIT!!! Didn’t get to go for a ride (hopefully tomorrow) but it seems to make a NOTICEABLE improvement to the seat slope.

Got my kit today. Hoping to get some time maybe Sunday to install it. Can’t wait!

I'd be willing to send a set to someone with a 15-17 to verify fitment for me. Also for anyone with a Tracer 9 as the forward mount is different on the 9, if they could take detailed measurements for me, I'd also make a version for that.
I just shipped my first handful of orders of these yesterday and have a few more to ship out today.Saw that kit on another thread and ordered one the other night. Can’t wait to try it. Had no idea you were a member here but should have figured.

Similarly, I don’t use 6th gear until I hit a cruising speed of 65mph.

It is a much too simple project to pay someone else to do it. The switched aux. 12v plugs are right behind the instrument gauge waiting for you to use, just splice into one of them.
Here is a Garmin hardwire power cable.

Really like this mount. Now I just need my mechanic to wire in power to the ignition…

Ron Ayers has lids listed for just under $400 each but that’s still $800 for just the lids. A big-ass tail bag is only $100. I know which one I chose.

Interesting. That’s a pretty spendy solution for a slight increase in capacity.

Great DIY solution, or alternatively buy this.....

I’ve got one of those on the way. Hope I get it soon! This is a much better solution than the brackets that go behind the windscreen.

Not sure I’ve ever seen this asked or mentioned, but are there any larger side cases that fit the stock mounting system?
-
Agreed. I like close to zero throttle free play. Clutch too.

Since I bought this bike I have not seen any reviews of the experience with a smaller windscreen. So I took a chance and got one, hoping to recreate my experience with my previous BMW S1000R. It comes close. The video review will drop on my YouTube channel on Sunday. 🙂
My next ride I’ll test out the Givi sport screen. Might try the MRA sport screen too.
-
OK, so what the heck is up with this?
Went for my first real (I’ve been on night shift) ride yesterday with the MRA touring screen. Out of town, curves, hills, countryside, etc. First thought was, “Why is this so loud?” I could barely hear my music.
Decided to do some experimenting today and did the same ride with the stock screen. I’ll be damned if it wasn’t quieter. More turbulent, but quieter and it was easier to hear my music.

I think Chromeburner might have a blue one. I ordered a silver one from them through eBay but they made a mistake and it was out of stock. Ended up ordering the plain ready model and I think it might be worse than stock. 🥲

The mount won’t fit on my bars. 🥲 U-bolt isn’t long enough. Got a windscreen adjuster mount on the way and then I’ll see when my mechanic can get to it.
-
It’s super easy to do and well worth it. I ordered OEM FJR1300 parts online.

The mini-USB port on the Zumo will not reliably hold a cable while the bike is in motion, and you'll lose the water and dust protection by having the rubber flap open. I would not recommend doing this.
Good to know. I can’t believe how low the battery capacity is on the Zumo XT. 😔
-
I don’t do electrics. If I wanted to run a GPS before I take the bike in to my local mechanic to have a GPS hardwired to the ignition circuit, can I charge a Zumo XT off the power plug while the bike is running without any problems?

With the shorts and flip flops and no helmet wouldn't you be more at home on a big litre sport bike?
Love the t-shirt.
Oh, don’t worry, I brought all my gear just in case. My wife snuck this pic while I was test sitting on it on the dealership floor.

I still really like my MRA, for me it's been an all around stellar choice.
Me too. Best one I’ve tried. I’m toying with the idea of trying the MRA sport screen.

That looks really good. I just might be sending mine off to him when it comes time to put the bike away for the season.

Windscreens are absolutely worth it, in my opinion. The problem is finding the right one for YOU.

I got sick of the useless stock screen and all the turbulence and noise it created.
Fitted one designed for the MT10, it didn’t take much to modify it.
It splits the air beautifully and can’t get over how smooth the air flow is and how much quieter it is. I also think it’s the way the original should always have looked like.
I must admit, I much prefer bugs all over me than to put up with that badly designed stocker
That looks really good!
