  1. Yesterday this exact thing happened to me on my month old 9 GT. I was going down a 25% decline in Nidderdale when all of a sudden, I lost my throttle. I got to the bottom of the hill and switched off. I switched it on again after about 5 minutes and the throttle came back. After a few miles the engine management light came on. When I next stopped, the menu (settings cog) button failed to respond. This morning I rang the dealer and told them I was bringing it in. They said they have never heard of anything like this before. Needless to say on arrival at dealer, no engine management light and no issue with the menus. They said they will still investigate. I love the bike and find it very comfortable but I'm scared now... what if it had happened going up the hill or mid-overtake... both potentially fatal?!?
