kiwicanuck
Hi guys I just noticed that my Yamaha heated grips seem to have a odd heat issue. Could they have been installed wrong at the dealer or are they faulty. My settings are below 1 bar - barely any heat2 bar - very hot3 bar - warm Thanks for any feedback or help. Premium Member fanowater Posted June 2, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted June 2, 2016 The dealer might not have set the levels or messed up. They are adjustable and easily done. Each level can be set between 1 and 10. Do you have the instructions sheet they came with? You go to the maintenance screen while the bike is turned off and set the levels there. If I can find a link I will update this, but I can't dig around in the garage at the moment. Cheers EDIT - here is the link to the instructions ULEWZ posted. Premium Member estell Posted June 2, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted June 2, 2016 My heated grips respond like yours, kiwicanuck. My solution was to change the settings from default. Medium = 5 and High = 8. For some reason, 9 and 10 don't work well on my grips. 2015 red FJ-09: Cal Sci screen, Sargent seat, ECU flash, slider combo, cruise, Rizoma bars, Matts forks, JRi shock, slipper clutch
