Switching Handlebars?

I'm contemplating switching out the handlebars for something higher and angled back more than the stock ones.

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm concerned about clutch and brake cable length and any part numbers would be great!

Reviving this thread again for a different reason.

My bike was maliciously knocked over by some knuckhead near my condo. The bar ends and my FJR bags took the damage but the handlebars are bent and need replaced.

Anyone have any information on switching out the handlebars?

Thanks!

so I would note that all the attachmenst on the bar have a metal nipple that pokes into a hole drilled in the bar. Holds stuff in place great but a PITA if you want to move anything around. Also something you will have to either deal with by grinding down the nips or drilling holes in an aftermarket bar.

I did see a video on installing carbon fiber bars on an FZ09 that looked extra tasty though... might be worth grinding some nipples.
