  1. I still have the original Packtalk Duo and they work fine for my needs. Replaced a battery on one, $12 and 20 minutes.

I wear the Uclear speakers at $35 a pair, and have mounts on all my helmets, including two lids for the old Q3 that also are decent

  2. So I got out late but it was a gorgeous day.Met up with a buddy and rode a lot farther than I really wanted to but it wasn't terrible on the way back

I found if I sit back where i'm almost On the pillion saddle it relieves my Hip pain just that much more that it made it almost bearable

My buddy who is a Control rider with moto viz And only stopped racing a year or so ago at age 73 Wanted me to see his new acquisition, which is a KTM 390 all set up for the track real nice. It's a hoot following him on a twisty road. It's like a bicycle.

I was laughing in my helmet. All for only $3k!!!

    When I sell my spare 98 VTR1000F and my 01 H.D XL1200S I'm looking to get a Honda NC750X for the DCT..

I had a valve stem start leaking… so for the first time for me, I dismounted and remounted a tire in my garage :)    The had the tools for a bit (motion pro spoons/levers, bead protectors, and a bead breaker stand) but never tried.

This was the front which is kind of a pita!  But was over all easier than I thought it would be!

i have a set of mutants going on next week so this was a solid test!

When I read leaking valve stem, I thought "how does he know let alone if it's an intake or exhaust"?

Then I realized you were referring to a tire not a cylinder head LOL

I recall having to replace the flasher relay down by the battery?

But maybe that was for the tidy tail??

    You probably did...

  5. Was $16 on Amazon

A 5v power converter mounted near the right front pair of OEM  fuse boxes feeds twin USB A cables that EACH crank out as much as 5 amps if needed.

One USB socket goes up to my phone mount into a clip (connection buckle) one of the  RAM arm pivot bolts, the other goes under the pillion saddle and a USB C or Micro USB cable feeds through a small hole into my Shad top case.

  6. Finally

they put the Microphone button in the bottom left

     Anyway.

Back to the subject at hand

Depending how electrically you're inclined, you run positive and negative from a fuse near the battery Up to the front

on Amazon a dual USB high-speed 5w per channel plus a Volt meter

problem solved. You can also run a smaller USB to your phone mount and have a plug going right into your phone that stays there.

I don't know which one you have, but on earlier models on the left, there was a cigarette lighter and on the right there was a hole that needs to be opened up a tad for the dual kickass USB V ️ meter

  7. I have a 00 Sportster XL1200S

    Check one out.

Mag wheels dual dics up front a with single rear, fully adjustable front forks, a rebound, compression and ppreload.same with piggyback rear shocks.

Dual plug heads with HT twin fire hot coils.

Hotter cams and closer ratio trany.

Only stock fauxpau is the tiny peanut gas tank and hevy clutch pull, both however the can be relatively easily and inexpensively rectified.

Not a long haul steed but on shorter hops with appropriate pitstops it's a bit of a hoot and makes soothing patato-patato sounds along the way

  8. Lots of things happen to people primarily when riding.

Nerve issues can cause Reynaud's syndrome, they're not sure.

Makes sense riding a mc vs a pedal / push bike.

If you do not feel pain, then lack of feeling and overheating or touching something hot and getting burned is scary.

If you go really fast, you won't notice it...

My bugaboo riding is excruciating in my right hip.  Yes, if I sit too long or lay done and lie funny, yes it aches but it really only kills me riding.  Sometimes as soon as 15 to 20 minutes.  Then I need to stop and get off for 10 minutes, and then I can ride another hour maybe, then I need a break again.  Rinse and repeat, and the time between flare-up intervals get shorter and shorter, and I must closely gage my condition with 100 to 170 miles is my limit.  So I have calculate when to flip-flop and high tail it for home; although it's a crap shoot, as each ride is different.

I know what's needed but your condition is still new, and I've heard of no one injuring themselves keeping after it.

You need to know your limitations and know when to fold em, or at least get the correct help.

  9. I've thought about those type of case covers even though I already have the Givi case guards but never considered them for sound attenuation.

I presume the don't have dB damping foam liners?

I've not pulled the trigger on the covers because IMO they will make the engine run hotter because the insulate the engine from cooling air, including the clutch.

    A double edged sword...

  10. The thing that pisses me off about Yuasa is Amazon has sellers that supposedly warrant them but if you go to Amazon you are just pounding sand.

Worse yet, you have to call Yuasa with the manufacture date code to find out its fill date, and they're indignant you feel you have a need to know.

It was at 12.9v+ when I got it.  Put it on my 1.25a BT+ anyway.

Went for less than a 100 mile shake-down run.  Got back in the shop it was 13.44++

    3 days later it's still 13.12+

Not worried about it but I monitor all 5 of my batteries regularly.

Only put them on my BT+ when necessary.

As I said, I get at least 6 years out of all of them.

Tried 2 Motobatt in my VTRs, was not overly impressed but mine is still 6 years old.

Distributor is 45 minutes away.  They had a friend ride over and replaced his 2 years after new because he though it was low, so that was heartwarming!

Next time I'm getting a NOCO or something. A buddy has been running them for years and doesn't understand why anyone would have a AGM.  He's still a track coach at 74 and everything is about weight.  Other thing he does first thing is a slip-on but BMWs can all do that.  FJs not so much.  Yet he thinks his RT is a featherweight though he also has an XR.  He just picked up an RC390 with full suspension and all set up for the track, $2,900!

He's a shopper and only pays cash.  Got his GSXR600 for like $5k.

Also have a Noco Genius 2 smart charger that also handles LifePo4.  Funky connectors but I bought their SAE adapter cable to which I can connect a SAE to coax cable, so I have 2 ways to charge the bike and run my heated jacket liner and vest, and plug in a volt meter / BT.
