  1. I'd not heard of this, but a quick Google of it came up with this on the Tenere 1200 forum:

"I have a 2019 Tracer 900 GT and the same thing will happen. If the engine is idling with the bike on the centre stand the rear wheel turns even in neutral and that turns on the the engine light. Since 2017 this light can be turned off only with an OBD2 scanner with proper harness for Yamaha."

Up at 2am and off to Warwick, but the fires closed the Hwy, so left through Boonah to Nerang for a drink for me and the bike. Off up the hwy to Mt Coot-tha and then to Esk via Mt Glorious, still need more so I go up through Hampton to Goombungee for Breakfast. That will do and now off home via Murphy's Creek. New seat works a treat. Bike says a bit over 600K's.

That's a nice looking set up ya got there. How do you find washing the engine off with those bars on?

Our roads get crappy quickly here

  3. Had them on my BMW, and took me ages to get back in the swing of cancelling them myself on the Tracer GT. We're lucky, we ride in an group most of the time, minimum two riders at worst, so we tell each other if they're on via the Cardos.

One of the first questions I asked when I looked to change the bike was did it have self cancelling indicators. Had to make myself keep checking I had cancelled them, probably went over the top by doing it over and over. Still forget to do it now and then.

  4. I think it makes it look better. If they bring out a specific one for the 2019 GT which mirrors the lines of the side panels, I'll swap it at a later date.

I added two round rubber spacers between the bottom of the headlight housing and the beak on the front screws, just to cushion it a little more. Probably didn't need them, but just in case. The rear fixings have rubber grommets on them already that the bolts pass through.

Took me about 15 minutes and very easy to do. I had knee surgery two weeks ago, so getting down and up again was entertaining!!

On the 2019 GT model, you DO need to drill a pilot hole for the front screws, as unlike the older Tracer there isn't the front screws there already.

The beak does not follow the same angle of the new side panels perfectly, but it's not horrendous looking once on. You could put bigger spacers between the beak and the bottom of the headlight housing to angle the front of the beak down a little, and this does bring the angles more in line with each other. I wasn't sure if i liked it angling down or not so didn't go with that.

I know it's not to everyones liking, but all in all, I like it.
