Givi handguards extenders, voltmeter, Quad Lock phone mount with USB charging, HeliBars risers, switch for LED Rigid lightbar, grip puppies

LED turn signals / running lights, and Whelen LED amber running lights / turn signals controlled by Skene Design controller, Rigid LED lightbar

Tail has been tidied by removing the entire license plate holder and turn signals, and I installed LED turn signals, along with an Ad-More Lighting lightbar which integrates brake, running and turn signals with its dual color LED's, plus a flashing brake light with a Whelen super LED unit.. And a Givi top case rack with license plate mount below it.

  2. Thanks for the feedback. My Garmin's GPS screen doesn't need the connected fabric, it's pressure sensitive, it's my phone screen that needs. it. I use Google maps to navigate, and only need to touch the phone's screen when I reach 1 waypoint and need to hit Start or Continue to the next waypoint.. for some reason Google maps doesn't continue the guidance until I do.. and If I don't and do it later, it asks me if I want to continue from the location I'm at or start from the previous waypoint, which is rather annoying, so if I can just hit continue on my phone, problem solved, just need a glove that will do that.

Installed the riser today and love the new position. A beneficial side effect of the riser is that the key is easier to access now.  After the weather improves, a long test ride is in store. I'm only 5'9" and always felt the lean was a bit too far forward before.

Did you have to release the cables / hose from their perches near the triple clamp?

  4. I've installed Koso Apollo on my other bike and it was a very easy install. Compared to OEM where you have to toggle through the menu to operate the OEM heated grips. The Koso grips have the switch which s color coded and built into the left grip. I wired it to the OEM heated grips plug on my other bike, so it was practically plug 'n' play.

In regards to performance, there's no question that the Koso Apollo heated grips can be set to a much higher temperature than the OEM grips. Koso claims a temperature of around 70 degrees Celsius at the highest rating. Furthermore, the heated grips have a memory function,  where the last temperature setting is remembered when you turn it off and turn it back on. I'd go with those over OEM if my bike didn't come with OEM heated grips from the factory.

  5. Ordered and received this item in about a week, strangely, shipped from a suburb of Toronto. I didn't expect it to be of high quality but didn't care as it's just a side stand enlarger but it is, and fits perfectly and to me a side stand enlarger isn't worth $40 or $50 that others sell.

  6. I purchased and received this side stand enlarger in about a week's time and it shipped from Mississauga. I have a feeling some Chinese sellers keep stock here and have someone ship it for them. I just don't understand how they cover their postage costs when you're paying $2 or $3 for an item and shipping is "free".  Btw, the side stand below is of very high quality for US$10, instead of $40 or $50

  7. In Canada we use a lot of salt on the roads in winter to melt the ice and keep the roads clear, so even if it's warm enough to ride, I never take my bike out while the roads are salted, and come spring, I wait for the a good rainfall to wash the salt away.

There are a few windshield threads on this forum, some find the Puig almost perfect for touring, however it all depends on your size and your expectations.

Those look awesome, but absurdly expensive.  I'd love to get a good deal on a set, but at almost $300cdn that's insane.

    Lucky find!

You can get a knock off on ebay for $36 to $45 shipped

Haven't experienced this (I haven't bought anything from China yet  - but I am curious as to your experience with buying a blank Yamaha key.

Can you send me the link?

Also, have you had yours cut here to match your existing key?

    Cheers,

    Rob

    Cambridge, ON

I wanted this key with a red top so I can see if the key is in the ignition or not.  I have also ordered some plug and play turn signal wiring adapters to install LED turn signals. Some stuff comes very slowly but other things are shipping from Mississauaga, which I find strange, considering the cost of shipping is included in the price of the item. I'm currently on another continent and won't be back until next month. I will have the blank cut by a locksmith.

These solved your problem because they keep the grip from being in contact with the handlebar? Or simply because the heat is higher? The reason I ask is because the highest setting on the stock ones make it so I can't keep my hand on the throttle but keeps my left hand finally warm. If these help to even out the heat temp, I would probably by a pair yesterday.

To be clear, these are not on my Tracer as mine is factory equipped, but on my other bike. The heat is higher than on stock grips, the left grip feels comfortably warm when wearing cold weather riding gloves.
