  1. My owner's manual specifically states, "Do not use a diesel specification of "CD" or oils of a higher quality than specified." In my book, that tells me T6 15W40 is good to go. Who cares if its SG rated or not. It's JASO MA, MA2 rated.
  2. That's too bad about the TFT. That's one thing I would have liked to upgrade. I bought the non-GT model because a leftover 2019 was $7,499 U.S..
  3. To be fair, other than not using oil with the "energy conserving" label and being within recommended viscosity parameters, I've never had an oil problem be it car oil, bike oil, dino or synthetic. Over many years with many bikes and many miles.
  4. I'm not one to argue about oil, I was just looking for a good, suitable oil without paying Yamaha prices. This one fits the bill. 👍
  5. It's actually JASO DH-2, MA/MA2 rated. https://rotella.shell.com/en_us/products/full-synthetic-and-blend-oil/t6-full-synthetic/_jcr_content/par/productDetails.stream/1556117315505/6aaeba0ca380ce31c1a45ba16a94dded7f4aea73/t6-sae-15w-40.pdf
  6. In my Owner's Manual it says not to run a diesel oil rated "CD" or higher. The T6 5w40 or 15w40 fits the bill. Additionally according to the temperature and viscosity chart (in said Owner's Manual) 15w40 is good for 30 to 110 degrees F. Count me in for the 15W40.
