  1. Hi guys, hope no one minds me bumping this thread Just curious how folks are getting on with Corbin seat some time later. A decent improvement? I noticed Seargant also has an option now, though it looks like that one modifies your existing pan.
  2. Hi everyone! So I've installed the Madstad wind shield and at 5'7", found it super effective, a significant improvement over the un-usable stock shield. It is maybe 85%-90% of the way there, but in windy conditions, I can still get some degree of buffeting on the helmet regardless of how high or what angle the shield is. I played around with blocking wind with my hands and realized that if I place my hands to block the bucket-loads of wind coming up through this gap in the fairing, the buffeting totally disappears and I'm left in blissful tranquility. I really do think these massive fairing gaps are a major wind management weakpoint on this kind of bike Anyways, I'd love to cover this area. I've seen polycarbonate covers on some bikes for this area, but I don't know how well it would work on the Tracer (mostly because of the key placement). I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience or maybe some ideas on closing this gap. Maybe we can get a brain-storming session going. Accommodating the forks, bar risers, and key are the major challenges. I've honestly been thinking about installing something on the other side, at the bottom of the fairing - not sure how feasible that is though. And just to pre-empt anyone mentioning it, I agree that going small is usually the best answer to wind protection, and what I've done for most of my short riding life. But it would be nice for colder weather seasons to have a more protective option I can toss on the bike if required. Thanks in advance for any input!
  3. Hi guys, sorry to resurrect an old thread. Does anyone know which skidplates are made for/fit on the 2021 Tracer 9? Is SW Motech the only option? Thanks!
  4. Hi guys, I was wondering why some Tracer 9 GTs have red panels on the panniers and others have black. The one I've put money down on unfortunately has black. Anyone know where I can find the red version? Looks cool on a red bike! Is this a North American vs European thing? I'm in Canada FWIWa
  5. Thanks for the feedback all! I think I will opt to not get it after all. Super excited to get this puppy in my grubby little hands
  6. Hi guys, I'm looking at a 2021 Tracer 9 GT with 10.5k km Would you guys spend an extra USD $1250 to get an extended 3 year warranty? Or do you feel that this platform is reliable enough for that to be a bit of a scam? I'm kind of thinking that a bike with 10.5k km would probably have shown its faults earlier on and should hopefully be setup for 3 years of smooth running. Although I am a bit concerned about the long term reliability of electronic suspension. I know BMW owners have suffered there. But ultimately, I'm not sure. Appreciate any opinions!
  7. Quick question for Tracer owners. This bike is definitely the top contender for my next steed, but I come from the world of naked bikes and am very sensitive to annoying wind noise courtesy of bad wind screens. I was wondering, how high do you think turbulent wind will come off the bike if there is no screen at all? Or a tiny screen as high as the gauges? I ask because as long as I have the option of going full naked on this bike (leaving my helmet in 100% clean air), I won't have an issue taking a risk on wind noise. I'm 5'7", relatively short torso/long arms if it helps. I have a feeling that on this bike, no wind screen would leave my head in turbulent air... I'm going to try my best to get a test ride, but that alone is hard going here in Ontario...And I doubt they'd let me test it with no screen on. Thanks!
