  1. Could you share with the template of the Yamaha mud guard for those who haven’t installed any of this?
  2. In Poland we have videotest of Niken, too . No CC
  3. Not really, they add rain cover..., but looks pretty solid.
  4. I've installed recently the tankpad from Givi. It's finally the tankpad with key's security mounting :).
  5. I found the mud flaps finally. But now more info than on the web site. https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/gb/en/products/motorcycles/sport-touring/niken-gt-2023/accessories/niken-gt-mud-flaps/bfd-215e0-00-00/?path=/?page=4#/
  6. It seems that's not standard equipment of new Niken from Polish Yamaha's site search.
  7. I use it in the summer to avoid the chafing caused by moisture and additionally for more pressure comfort. In cold days it is also warm. When is raining it could be removed easily, but it is so small that I never did it so far.
  8. Hi, I just used sheepskin on my non GT Niken seat and the riding comfort rises significantly. It's worth to check. The total cost is just around 25 USD.
  9. After the long bike not using, my CC didn't work either. Despite the exclusion of an error resulting from the wrong foot brake sensor setting, the CC didn't work again. I drove to the dealer, they checked and treated all sensors (including clutch, footbrake and other sensors affecting the CC) with spray to improve electrical contact. CC is now working properly. I know, that the connections of all sensors will be indicated in the service manual (chapter 8-105)
  10. Please find dimensions of my connector and rear image. The mounting is quite tight. Today we will check if this solution is comfortable for passenger :). Steel plate used for connector is 5 mm thick.
  11. There was the rack kit for MT-09 for the Trekkers (PLR2122 YAMAHA MT-09 TRACER (15-17)) which fits perfectly for the upper attachment points. The small issue is connection with the passenger footrest. I resolved this with the connector which I made by myself. The connector is mounted to the footrest and to the rack with standard holes. I removed the quick coupler and attached directly to the standard passenger holder's holes. I have the non GT Niken. No bending or welding needed for the Givi rack.
  12. I just installed the givi trekkers trk33 on my Niken. Quite easy job.
  13. I have had this issue with CC too. I checked that the brake light was constantly on, so I used the tip from service manual (1/2 turn counterclockwise) which resolve problem.
  14. Great job, could send the photo how did you connect with the right handguard. Left is quite visible :). Thanks in advance
  15. Yes, I did it with almost this same value (45Nm) according to the service manual for Niken.
  16. Not so perfect :). Left side just needed 48mm specer (bolt in metric 10x1,25x100 mm) and 56 mm spacer (bolt 10x1,25x120mm). Right side crash bar needed more technical arrangements only with the fastenings on the brake area, but it was worth for greater engine protection :). If someone is interested I can send full specification how to modify and install the Givi TN 2139 on the Niken.
  17. Finally, installed Givi’s crash bars for Tracer on my Niken. Looks pretty good and covers a large part of the engine.
  18. Hi, after days of studying the technical manuals and practical use of a torque wrench when removing the engine screws, it seems that engine bolts must be tightened by 45 Nm on both sides. I didn't find the value of 11 Nm in the SW Motech documentation or in the Niken service and repair manual. I'm in progress to install of the Givi crashbars for Tracer on my Niken. It seems that a little, technical change in right crashbar need to be done as well as new spacers and bolts installed.
  19. A few years ago I rode a yamaha xt660, but because of my wife fears I sold a motorcycle ... After 15th years, as soon as I saw this wonder, I told her, it is my dream come true. She said: ok buy it. It was a shock, so without a test drive, I took it, Niken without any hesitation or reflection. I bought this Yamaha directly from a dealer (“vintage”- 2018) without mileage, new motorcycle. The day after it was delivered by Liberty Motors, I drove it for the first time and… a delightful experience. A little frost, a little snow and the bike runs like a dream. My dreams of returning to the road without limits came true. It will be the good year :). ps. Givi windscreen and heated grips added by Yama dealer. Givi top case installed. Givi crash bars for tracer 900 will be installed.
