Trinity County fire status/conditions?

Does anyone here know the status of the fire that has been going on in Trinity County? Cal Fire states that it's 97% contained.

Does anyone know the road conditions, air quality and or accessibility around 36, 3 and 299 out towards Eureka coming from Red Bluff?

I don't know the status of the fire other than what's posted (meaning it's pretty well wrapped up on the perimeter, but will be in mop up mode for some time yet as the internal pockets burn out). I would stay away from Hwy 3 from Weaverville to Etna and also Gazelle Rd for a bit. Fire equipment tends to chew up roads pretty bad, and you could find yourself dodging potholes and/or chunks of asphalt kicked up by apparatus. 

If you have a hankering to ride the area, do the Forks of the Salmon, you can't go wrong there, and wasn't impacted by the fire.
