dbezerkeley
In my recollection the ends of the handlebar almost always have take hits when my bikes tipped over. So 2 questions: 1)Why are handlebar sliders rarely discussed? Are they not effective or as important as the other frame sliders? 2)The only ones I can find for the FJ-09 are by R&G and cost $102. Seems kind of pricey for a couple of screw on caps. Any suggestions or recommendations for other less expensive options? Thank you! Dan
Premium Member wessie Posted June 16, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted June 16, 2015 Why bother? Bar end weights aren't exactly expensive and can be repainted as they will only scuff. Plus, you don't want to make the bars any wider, not if you commute in city traffic like I do. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is. vern
I ordered the Evotech bar ends which I just installed. They look good and don't really increase the width of the bars. I also ordered the Rizoma adapters just in case I didn't like the Evotech ones but haven't tried these out yet. Vern
