EBAY Rear Sets

Recommended Posts

For the price? You can barely get the stock ones powder coated for about that price. (Many shops have minimum fee's? Depends on the shop.)

They look pretty well made for the price. Are they adjustable to where they can be set lower than the stock pegs? or further back? Most sets I've looked at put the pegs up higher and I want to keep the comfortable ergo's of the stock bike.

Also the fixed foot pegs can and will tear up your shins if you catch them moving the bike around. And they don't fold when you lay the bike down, so that can either be good, or bad depending on what breaks next?

The rear sets or the Mounting point on the frame?

If you get them, please post up some photos and ride review. I'd love to have a longer shift and brake lever. I have size 14 feet, and wear boots, so the stock ones are too short for me. (But then again, all stock bikes are too short for me...)

I actually bought one of these and have it on my bike now.......the 10MM helped a bit although I wish it were more.  BUT, the lever did not go on w/o a problem.  With the side-stand in the up position the lever actually hit the side-stand bolt on downshifts and I had to "relieve" the bolt with a grinder.....not very elegant.

lol....I'll probably regret it but will order em up......I give em about a 50/50 chance of going on w/o problem.

Oh, that looks very nice.

So the lowest setting is stock or lower?

I'm liking these, but not if I can't get at least stock Ergo's out of them. (Want the pegs at stock height, or slightly lower would be fine too.)

Love the longer shifter. Does it shift with less effort? The supplied shifter shaft pivot point appears longer than stock, and has 3 mounting holes in it? And the longer than stock shift lever should give you more leverage as well. Not that this bike is hard to shift, but a light touch is nice to have. (I would love a longer clutch pivot point and levers with revised lower effort pivot points too, a light clutch in traffic is perfect.)

The black/red theme on your bike is nice. I have the faster red bike myself, and have in the past done red/gold/black with good results. Looks like Iron Man according to my friends who don't ride. But like the bikes I've had in the past. (FZ1 in red with that color mix.)

Installed the Chinese-made rear sets yesterday. Fairly long shipping time. No instructions so it took longer to figure out where all the parts go. I've had some pretty expensive sets before that had nothing over these for quality and fitment. Lowest and most forward adjustment is (slightly) rearward of OEM. They are clearly more fragile than OEM and would not survive a fall as well. Overall, they are a bargain at about $120.

Have them 3 months and are very nice ! Riding position slightly sportier (its adjustable) and on the plus side now is visible the rear brake master cylinder (brembo)  :)

What's that little sliding plate under your center stand called?  That would be so handy in my garage.
