norfolkphil
Bright sunny day...the bike just out of its 600 mile service...and a great ride in prospect...until fluid starts coming out of the rad and clouds of steam appear. Never had a radiator go on me before, so bearing in mind its only got 600 miles on it, a question guys: Do I try to seal it with 'Radweld', or is it back to the shop for a replacement? Thanks Phil

Thanks Phil Unless a rock or anything else was kicked up and punctured it, it's a warranty replacement. No question, do that! Thanks Phil Definitely not a common problem. I would do a quick look to see what they might have mucked up at the 600 mile service (loose connectors, radiator cap, etc) then take it back. Thanks Phil yeah, straight back to the shop.....if by chance it is road damage, K Seal is much better than radweld...(if you have to do a temp repair)
Premium Member DavidS Posted December 27, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted December 27, 2016 If this is really "Right after your 600 mile service" I'm wondering if they did something that caused this? Maybe poked the radiator by accident? If you have been riding a bit since the service, than maybe not, just bad luck!
norfolkphil
Thanks for the advice guys. The bike hadn't moved since i parked it up after riding back from the service. The more I think about it the more it looks like a warranty issue. Always nice to have your opinions. Phil
