Accessories costs.

I've managed about $3000 in acessories too - $1000 right off for the luggage, another $1000 for frame sliders, clutch/stator protection and a belly pan, $200 for a rear rack, $280 for heated grips, $105 for a windscreen, $200 for a tankbag, and $225 for adjustable levers.
 
I will just have to amortize the hell out of it by riding the thing a long way. :-)
