  1. thanks peporter. I see what your talking about I suspect I can work with that, if not i'll get the banjo adaptor and have someone local dial it in. I was thinking it was something that would prevent attaching the shock, like the clevis or something. I emailed stoltecmoto as thats where it was purchased from originally, will see what they say about the spring.
  2. holy crap I just got a P{enske with a spare sprng for $500 because guy sold his fz and just wanted to get rid of it. Anyone know if a 550 spring is decent for a 190 lb guy? Also please, please ,please what is the elbow thats diff? I can see nothing on the shock that looks like an elbow.... sigh.
  3. well, im buying it tonight. If you never hear from me again I was killed by another craigslist ax murderer. Otherwise I'll be here trying to wrangle pictures of this elbow thingy to compare with what i get.
  4. hmmm, i wonder if the elbow can be adjusted or replaced. I will try to buy it on friday. Gotta wait till payday to get it.
  5. so this is a direct bolt on? I have an option on one from an FZ and would love to jump on it!
  6. I also tried these engine protectors: http://tinyurl.com/psyolnf On the clutch lever side there is some interesting mounting ideas. Problem occurred because its not exactly right: But I have been in contact with them and they assure me I will get it fixed. Just not when. So I will update this when they resolve it. 7. Lever Set: Intentionally bought the absolutely cheapest I could find. I have had CRG levers in the past and they were the best but these are close. The fit is great and best $23 spent so far on the bike. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301726340657?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  8. Having trouble cutting and pasting on my tablet but i got Bikemaster heated grips for 48$ on Amazon. They installed easy, just run power to them and heat before putting on. They are a bit short though, easy to fix on the left but the throtte tube sticks out. I need to paint or cover with black heatshrink tube or something. They get quite warm too.
  9. I added in the Bikemaster heated grips. Easy install, I just powered them on to heat and used some lube and glue. May have to re-glue the throttle side as its hard platic on hard plastic. Also there is about a half inch less grip. Easily accounted for on the non-throttle side. I'll need to get creative with some black heat shrink on the throttle side to clean up the look. Other than that they installed nice with the front accessory wire under the windshield. Also added another accessory outlet, added a pigtail for the trickle charger and started the wiring for the awesome $20 nlight (sp?) mod another forumite posted. Sadly Im on the road for biz for a week and wont be able to finish the wiring and add the polymer skin panels till next weekend. If its real sunny may have to see how it handles as a naked bike!
