  1. "Yup that's the wear bar. My tires were just a hair less tread than that, but not quite to the wear bar and they wouldn't pass inspection. Techically in order to pass you must have tread good till the next years inspection. Each place has a different interpretation of what a year's worth is. I just got someone who wasn't willing to push the definition." Guess we are lucky in SC, we don't have MC or vehicle inspections.
  2. I'll new to the on road world, hard core off road since early 70's, could someone please explain/photo what I need to look for as far as wear bars, as in flush to the tread, I'm at 6K miles even and thinking/hoping it's good for another 1000 miles Is it the little tab I have circled?
  3. Hope I made a wise choice here, Dunlop has a $75.00 rebate if your purchase a pair of tires, Raodsmart III Been changing MX bike tires old school ( with tire irons) for years, considering no wheel locks or tubes, maybe will be a little easier. 4. Just received a seat from Terry, he is a pleasure to work with. I don't have a ride report yet, I don't get to ride that often, but when I do, 300 to 350 miles for a day ride or 900 - 1000 mile for a 3 day weekend is what we shoot for
  5. Took a look at the specifications on this, per add online ad Two terminal, 12 volt (Max amp draw 6) produces 130 decibels @ 4" Does anybody know the DB and amp draw of the stock horn? thanks,
  6. You know, when I took the pictures, I don't remember if it was raised or lowered, but I have been ridding with it in the raised position.
  7. Finely pulled the trigger and orders the Parabellum windscreen. Talks with the folks on the phone and they were very helpful. I explain I wanted completely out of the buffering and gave them my height. 6'0". They suggested their 26" model, I also opted for the smoked flyscreen. It has a nice discount if purchased along with the touring screen. I have installed the fly screen and ridden in 45 degree weather with it. it does have some turbulence, maybe not quite as bad as stock, but a good bit louder than the clean air of ridding with no screen. Rode about 90 minutes at 45F before it started to warm up, wearing lined jacket and pants, but nothing heated, for me doable. Last Sunday, rode 45 minutes at about 38F before it started warning up, still doable, but at the end of a 300 mile ride, high got to about 50F, was thinking the touring windshield might have been in a good choice,. I'll post some pictures of the 26 inch shield when I install it later. So, for the flyscreen, I like the way it looks, air hits helmet in the area if the chin guard. I have to stand up a good foot to be completely in clean air. if I slump down just a little bit, on the cool ride, I can keep most of the air off the neck area.
