  1. Had to disconnect my QuickShifter... Found a little slice in the wiring, somehow, some way I nicked it ?, it only went wonky after a good rain if my bike was outside, happened 2 times this week, 1st time I couldn't duplicate it because it was nice and sunny for 3 days... Email sent to Woolich for new sensor... Sighs the Great FJ-09 in the Great Enternal Twisty Sky Road thought to see fit to say your playing a little to hard...
  2. Did oil change, pulled the Neighborhood Association friendly DBkiller out ? and love my new AGV K5 helmet now...much better than my 15yr old helmet ?... The K5 helmet performed better with stock windshield over the barn door Givi windshield... Now its time to go say hello to the neighborhood BBBBBBBRRRRRRAAAAAAA6APPPPPPP goes the Graves Exhaust ?

Edit: finally installed my Healtech shift light https://www.healtech-electronics.com/products/slp/

Will report back after work tonight if I set it up properly...20170423_184336.jpg
  3. Seems to be a trend going on, taking the barn door off and putting short windshield back on...the weather must be getting nicer all over ?... So far I noticed the Givi windshield blocked alot of wind, I mean given my hearing impairment I could hear the engine "whine" noises and hear the Graves exhaust clear as day with a baffle in, now the wind mask alot of the "whine" and the lovely Graves exhaust ?... Hmmmm choices, now the exhaust sounds not much lounder than stock with baffle in unless I wind the little motor up... Time to test the new helmet out...
  4. Im only interested in this thread to follow the CC feature... The only positive feature to me is the simplicity of putting CC on the FJ-09 with no wiring mess...
Have you looked into the MCCruise?  It is a very high quality product and a super clean install.  The wiring harness that they build could pass for factory equipment, especially when it is plugged in with the factory Tenere switch gear.  I was extremely impressed with their craftsmanship.
Yes they have been at the top of my list since day one...
  5. Im only interested in this thread to follow the CC feature... I already have Launch Control, quick shift up/down and the " closed loop " disabled and whatever else 2WDW did... So im not missing much by getting lean angle wheelie control or whatever that is... The only positive feature to me is the simplicity of putting CC on the FJ-09 with no wiring mess...the major problem is no available library of diffrent tunes onhand it looks like, so I suspect they are gonna be a unrestricted generic fuel/ignition  maps... So it even looks like you would need actual dyno tuning after installing the Tune boy which opens up another problem, who else can tune Tune Boys software besides ordering a PowerCommander5 and having the local dyno tuner tune it...

I would buy this if the CC does not overwrite the 2wdw/Woolich tune I already have otherwise it's a complete waste... This is not a well thought out idea
  6. Yes B mode is boring... but my curiosity wanted to experiment beyond default settings
Currently in B mode well the fuel avg meter on the dash keeps going up...so far it's showing 50.3mpg... B mode is gonna be strictly 2up and long trips to maximize range...have yet to run a few tanks in B mode...
Very interesting.  I am curious to hear your results after a few tanks.  If that is indeed the case, I may use B mode on some of the more long stretches while on road trips, and switch to STD or A for the fun sections.
I would also like to point out I also have no closed loop fueling due to my choice of tuning software I had 2wdw use, so far I have noticed why I think B mode is currently getting better MPG...in B mode I feel like im doing less throttle corrections to maintain a steady speed due to the relaxed nature of B mode, if that makes sense?...Even A mode is butter smooth and very on point with any amount of throttle input like a race bike...

Currently in A mode with my Woolich Race Kit and Graves Exhaust I'm getting 42mpg avg between 3 tanks of gas doing normal every day riding stuff

  8. Got tracking info for my new AGV K5 helmet and Healtech shift light...
What do you think of the K5? I saw it was on sale at revzilla and I'm in need of a new helmet. Do you find it quiet?
I brought it just for track days only because it brand new and " unabused"  new compared to the one I use daily so the techs cant give me shyt ... as for sound, sadly your asking the wrong person, I'm barely cracking 5% on a hearing test, I need to study more ?...my only gripe is it super light weight because I prefer a heavy helmet to help combat the micro wind buffeting/chatter nothing wrong with it just a personal preference...really nice fit, comfy, comes with 3 diffrent visor locks, field of vision is pretty good and it's even got little cut outs in the upper jaw pads for glasses...
  9. I read on another Tracer forum that the really annoying, odd-shaped bit of rubber that hides the front seat latch does have a function after all. If, like me, you took it out and threw it in your toolbox, it is surprisingly easy to remove the front seat without needing to unlock the rear, but the rubber stops that.

Could you explain?  I put mine in my toolbox, what is the function of the plug?
Its to prevent an object from unintentionally unlatching the seat...
  10. I use both brakes pretty much equally but im completely comfortable if either tire breaks loose thanks to many years of dirt biking...i do not want my connection with the bikes behavior under wheel sliding conditions to be tainted by ABS doing its thing...and im actually scared of ABS going off and freaking me out causing a wipeout/accident i never wanted...

  11. I take no offense guys/gals and thanks for the encouragement...stranger things have happened...on paper with my estimates it sounds good but at least im gonna try to get it as close as i can...yes i agree some chassis mods like swing extensions will help, suspension work and possible engine mods will make the 9sec goal more easily obtainable but its not a weekend bracket racing bike, thats a whole different ball game...
  12. Ordered a drag racing kill switch...The track I drag race at says if you break the sound barrier @ 10 secs on a motorcycle in the 1/4 mile you will need to have a laynard style kill switch and register the bike for a card and numbers ?

    Edit:
    120whp + 450# bike + 180# suited up rider = 9.90secs @ 135mph in the 1/4 mile...I will beat my calculator!!!
