In my attempt to get out from the unneeded Overtime by not working the weekend did not go according to plan... I got the weekend off but totally forgot to grab my box with my ECU and QS off my desk ? since i got out the door so fast like 6th gear pinned fast! Just in case they changed they minds about OT, to send to Nels at 2wdw so he can make a tune for a FJ/FZ-09 with Woolich Race Kit and Graves Exhaust...
Im also curious to see if disabling the " closed-loop " fueling aka ECO mode( Woolich QS plugs into stock o2 connection on bike wire harness, hence the closed loop being disabled) compares to the current listed Graves Exhuast dyno graph on 2wdw vendor page...
I have no problems with the Woolich Race Kit, I love having the extra features the system provides such as the Auto-Blip on clutchless down shifts, the clutchless upshifts and the secret weapon ? Launch Control ?... I used this set up on the stock exhaust and had Nels put the stock flash tune on it and i put 2k miles on it in the last 2 months before winter hit with hardly no complaints only 2 very very minor things that could tweaked that i cam recall...
Now i just gotta wait till monday morn to send Nels his new project and then wait for the day the ECU and my new shiny Graves Exhaust show up on my door step ?... Till then i will take my time installing my Givi windshield that arrived a few days ago...

Pulled the ECU and QS for round 2 with 2WDW... The 1st round i had 2WDW flash my ECU with Woolich race systems presets for the QS, downshift auto blipper and Launch Control to see how it works with the FJ/FZ-09 bikes and had the stock exhaust FJ-09 flash tune installed...Now its being reflashed for Graves Exhaust and the actual dyno tuning will be done on the 2WDW FZ-09 test bike which also has the Graves Exhaust on it, also round 2 will further refine the preset settings to work with the FZ/FJ-09 motors...

Went out to the garage, pulled the blanket off the bike to break the news I'm gonna be pulling the ECU for a labotomy and giving her a new set of vocal cords by Graves... the bike didn't even care, just sat there in total silence while we listened to the city snow plow trucks run around the neighborhood...

Having a saddle on your horse is like having launch control and horse shoes are the QS/ and auto blipper...

Yeah, honestly my FJ-09 shifts so smoothly OOTB, I can't imagine gaining $300 - $400 worth of value from this swap. But then again, I'm not on the front straight of VIR banging down through the gears going into turn one. Then....I might want it.I have followed this thread for a bit and come to the conclusion my FJ-09 needs no slipper/assist clutch but I will admit I did plan on doing this mod over winter...The reasons I decided not to are it's butter smooth over my FZ-07 after learning not to shift it like my FZ-07 and its now even smoother thanks to my QS and auto-blipper!! ? upgrades to the ECU...
This kit I got from Woolich Racing is very close in price for just buying a QS, so it's worth the tiny extra cost to have auto-blipper and launch control ?( which I may use a few times) I mainly use the QS since I spoiled myself using one on my FZ-07... I'm not trying to derail the thread or anything or start a debate...

I suspect over fill with oil changes...would be nice if the aiebox has a little rubber drain valve cap like my FZ-07 has...it's big enough of a rubber cap I can fit my pinkie finger in it... I usually check it every couple weeks and find maybe a spits worth of oil collected or water if I was riding in heavy heavy rain ...

Sidi canyon carvers boots...I em use em for riding quads around or riding my wr250f on the trails, they are really well built boots and the online pictures don't show you how sturdy these boots are in the ankle or toe tips, even the shin area ...they are sized 1 sized bigger than stated...if you normally wear 12 get an 11... Only thing I did was add a pair of insoles...

It's been high 60°f during day and mid 30s at night here in Michigan...unfortunately I'm a night owl so most of my riding gets done at night time...and then heated grips are spoiling me
-
80°f air temp should be illegal to use heated hand grips...unless you live where it's 150°f or more regularly I can see the need for heated hand grips at 80°f on heat setting 5 ?

Sent the ECU out this morning to 2wdw University to learn some new tricks...it will learn the proper stock exhaust tune and also learn the " Woolich Race Toolkit" which consists of a QS, autiblip for QS downshifting and Launch Control...time to bring my FZ-07 outta hibernation for a week ?...

$600 better be a custom CCT they made on the spot by milling out a chunk of 24kt gold bar stock and assembled on the spot with proper parts and whatnot...

Tore apart my brand spanking new 430 mile; 5 day old bike to dive deep into the engine bay to pull that fancy doohicky and put in some simple smog block off plates...almost installed cruise control but gonna wait till winter...almost tempted to find out if a aftermarket airbox for the fj/fz-09 is in the works by anyone ?
-
Them OEM heated grips are worthy of a trip across the north pole... I set the settings at 1-2-3 after trying 1-3-5...2 is nice and toasty to use at 50°f
-
Installed oem heated grips, dual control heat controller mainly for jacket liner, pre-assembled QS sensor to be installed in a few weeks after I send my ECU out for a reflash...then I will swap the heat controller to the fz-07 when the fj-09 ECU is going to school to learn some new tricks...over the winter I will pick an exhaust, have pattonme put the magic elixir kit in the front forks, have Norwest revalve the rear shock better handing over square bumps and them big frost heaves that can be mini speed bumps, install cruise control and then I will start planning some long trips...

Check out my thread started on Woolich Racing - WRT race tool kit
Is FlashTune offering something to you that they haven't made available for normal purchase yet? Because this is the first I've heard of them offering an autoblipper for the FJ09.Following this thread... there is an " auto blip for downshifting " feature available for the FJ

The front brake lines and ABS wires are using the back of the fender for mounting locations to secure em in place...
What did you do to your FJ-tracer-gt today?

The heaviest part is the carbon fiber can, weighs bout much as a 2 liter of pop ( soda pop for you Californians ?) and the headers are light as a feather!!! The welds are so pornographic they censored em!!! all the ends and fittings i see are all precision machine fit... Hardly any obvious signs of the tube bending machine doing it job which tells me the tooling is well kept up on... I will install it in the next couple weeks or if my ECU comes back before i get around to installing the exhaust...You all know that as soon as you install a nee exhaust system you wanna hear it!! But i need my ECU to start the bike ?... and before I even put the exhaust on I already pulled the baffle... good thing I did, they used ppppllllleeeennnnnttttyyyy of locite to hold the bolt in, looked like a crime scene with that much red ...
Any questions or other pictures, feel free to ask...
