Ok, sounds good. Ordered the Yoshimura Y-Series! It is on the way I will get my torque wrench ready and look for the values. I have a rear stand I bought and used with my Honda CB500F, I will see if it works with the FJ. I have a friend or two who can lend me a helping hand. I will be installing the exhaust with less than 2000 km (1250 miles)...Should I use new gaskets?

Ok so with my 2017 I cannot do this myself? Can a dealer? Admittedly the 2017 isn't bad, but there is room for improvement.

I think I found a good place to Source the Yoshimura Exhaust. Is this exhaust something I can install myself if I'm reasonably handy there's no interference with the center stand or anything?

Husqy, where did you flash your ecu? I have found a few locals who can do it. whtfj17, do you happen to have your original seat available for sale? Or is your seat a redo of the stock seat pan? Meeting up would be cool. I guess we could just start throwing out some location ideas and pick a wknd day

I assume this fits the 2017 and no issues with the centre stand? Where can I find or order this P/N 2SC-E46D0-V0-00 exhaust in Canada at a reasonable price? I live in the Toronto Ontario area. Very expensive on the Yamaha Canada website.

Hey Canadian FJ09 owners. Want to meet this spring? Are there any Southern Ontario, GTA...ie Toronto area FJ09 riders out there who have the following mods? 1) Sargent or other non-stock Seat and/or; 2) lowering links installed 3) Aftermarket exhaust and/or; 4) ECU flash Would love to see the first two in person on your FJ09. I will take a picture of my FJ09 and post it soon

Anybody else try this on a 2017 FJ09? I can't recall how jerky my on/off throttle is. So far I have only adjusted the free-play in the throttle. I am planning to get a Yoshimura Exhaust and flash the ECU.

No screens have reached me shipping wise so far. Oh well. For all FJ09 owners out there, I think the better options are: For small screens the MRA, ermax, puig or zero gravity. For larger touring screens I think the givi, parabellum or zero gravity. I haven't seen much feedback about the zero gravity bubble screens, but they look good. I think that is it for me for this year for riding season. If I get one or both of the screens soon enough and I have a reasonable weather day I will try them out. Otherwise, I will be putting the FJ09 to bed for winter soon.

Thanks. The Yoshimura looks good. As much or more HP and torque across the rpm range as the Akrapovic exhausts but I think the Yoshimura is a few LBS lighter than the Akra Ti.

How does the power/torque dyno compare to the akrapovic ti system? Do we know how the sound compares to the Akra Ti? I will check for videos but as many know, it's hard to compare using the youtubes.

kdimitris, Where do you live? You've heard of others with this issue? I will just compare the two sport screens for now. Maybe the Puig racing screen too later. It may make sense to compare the shorter sport screens first. Ultimately though for a touring screen I like what I read about the givi screens. The one I want to try is Out of stock though.

Ok folks. I figure I would contribute to this forum so I went and bought no fewer than 3 windscreens to compare. I will keep what I like and sell the one('s) I don't like. Question. I chose "smoked". I want a dark screen that I can see through. Should I have chosen light black? 1) MRA sport screen vs Ermax Sport screen 2) Ermax tall or touring screen I hope I like the Ermax tall and one of either of the sport screens. I am not bothering with the Puig screens for now. I could try the Puig sport screen if I have to but I won't likely bother with the Puig touring screen as it sounds like it is a bit big and problematic. There isn't much riding season left for me but hopefully I will at least get out for a few rides with each screen and be able to give this forum some feedback. I am 185 LBS and 5 foot 9.5" and I wear 30" inseam pants. I hope to get the screens within the week. Stay tuned
