  1. Not bothered about adaptive cruise, just want cc to work below 4th gear and down to 20 mph, I use it to stick to 30 and 40 mph speed limits and now we have a few 20mph speed limits in the UK and keeping to them is bloody difficult on the throttle alone, one twitch of the throttle and you are way over!

My car doesn`t have cc but speed limiter which works in any gear at any speed.

Nice job. Now consider the Pyramid Fender Extender to close the gap. I added one to the Niken, which comes with a splash guard as standard.

(Mud under seat from before Pyramid was added)

I made the same myself, thin sheet aluminium and three ss bolts and lock nuts, cost pennies

I live in England, we don't have heat here that's how I cope with it (although the rain occasionally gets warm) 😂😂🤣

What he said😂27c here today, we are all suffering heat exhaustion 😂

  4. ACF 50 goes a lot further than you would think, I keep a small paint brush to spread it around, it tends to creep into books and crannies and is good for protecting electrics.

In the UK we have all year biker who have agents who will clean your bike and mist with ACF, 1st thing I got done to my bike when new, never fails to amaze me how it stays on the front of a bike engine which has to be the worst environment, just a light spray and spread with brush occasionally 😀

That's a good solution to a problem that you shouldn't have to address.  I never had good luck with the 12v socket and even had it replaced under warranty and then still had issues with losing power to my GPS.

I finally got fed up and hardwired my GPS and have never had an issue since.  I hardwired it to one of the switched aux plugs behind the screen so it turns on and off with the key.

Best way to do it, no chance of a flat battery if left for a long while, I've heard of cases, my Garmin 350lm starts up when I turn ignition on, goes into standby when I stop for fuel then boots up immediately with ignition on

  6. Assume this applies to USA, in England our police officers tend not to point a gun at you if you reach for your wallet😂 there are exceptions!

Last time I got pulled was because a copper pointed a hair dryer at me, apparently I was doing 70 in a 60, actually I was doing 90 but I braked sharply when I saw him😉

  7. Dealer relpaced my switch today, he said about an hour when I booked in, 45mins after I arrived I left, I said that was quick! He said we've had a lot of practice😑

Asked if it was the same switch as S10, he said yes, funny that because I have a vague memory of cc light flashing on S10 a couple of times!

Just a reminder...If you drop the bike, wreck, etc.  Turn the key off. You do it, have a bystander do it, whatever it takes.

Bike won't start till key is turned off, then turned on. Bank angle sensor must be reset.

I watch all the You Tube videos with crashing bikes.  I'm always yelling at the screen "Turn the key off"  They keep cranking and cranking the engine, it's never going to start.

now know that! As the engine cut out as soon as the bike laid down I was more concerned with getting it upright out of the water!

Starter turned over but wouldn't fire, after I turned off ignition left a couple of mins it started on the button

  9. Went to see my aged mother earlier, handed over pressie, quick cup of tea on the doorstep I ain`t risking going in!
Roads not too bad except for the last mile or so across country when I see a virtual river running across the road, no problem I`m a rufty tufty biker!
quite proud of myself for fording it despite strong sideways current, and then another one successfully forded :D

So I leave Mother`s knowing I can do it, first flood no problem, second flood leads to a tight left hand bend, keep over to the left and "find" a kerb stone I can`t see with my front wheel, gently lay the bike down in the flood, my head gets buried in the water in the ditch and I think I`m going to drown  Luckily farmer Giles is pulling out of junction in 4x4 and he helps me lift the bike as I floundering about in the water!

Bike had turned itself off (tilt switch?) and won`t start, farmer says leave it a minute for petrol to drain so I take off my by now soaked lid, quick drag of nicotine and she starts on the button and idles 8-)

Lessons learned = a Yamaha Tracer 900 GT is an adventure bike, its very water resistant and Goretex boots are waterproof up to the point where you swim in them bloody cold 38 mile ride home with soaking wet feet

Only went today as its going to freeze tomorrow, one day maybe I will buy a "sensible" car!

  10. To remove case put in key and turn, lift handle cases are unlocked from bike, to open case pull up seperate lever, lid won't open till you do that.

If you lock case with handle up the lid is locked, a metal bar with red tab shows the lid is locked but you can't lock to bag to the bike
