Another resurrection. I just picked up a super nice 2015 from g8r in Sarasota, FL and have ridden it around a little while we spend a few days at the beach. Glad I brought plenty of ear plugs for the 700+ mile ride home on the interstate to east TN. 😉

I guess I can post here now since I am an "official" owner. Picked up a super nice 2015 with a ton of options on it in Sarasota, FL. I'm actually still down here spending a few days at the beach with my girlfriend. Previous owner had a lot of stock items I wanted so I drove down with the GF on Tuesday and picked the bike up on Wednesday. Will stay on the beach most of the morning on Sunday and start home Sunday afternoon and finish up the drive on Monday. 700+ miles will be a pretty good get acquainted ride but I wish it wasn't all on I-75. First night after we moved hotels to the beach I parked under some trees to keep the sun from beating on the bike all day. Big mistake. Not sure what kind of tree it was but major crap off the trees (and rain) got all over the bike and started discoloring a lot of items. I took it to the car wash that night to try to get some of it off but it was dark and I couldn't see how good a job I did. Today I got up and there was still a lot of crap on it so I went to walmart and bought a lot of cleaning stuff and did the best I could in a hotel parking lot (hotel let me use their hose). I really like the bike the little I have ridden it. My only issue is the height. Bike has a Corbin seat on it and I need to try the stock seat before I get a Yamaha lowered seat. Looking forward to riding the heck out of this bike.

I don't know that one. I've ridden the "Pig Trail" a lot. We used to ride over the Talimena Parkway from eastern OK to Mena, AR quite a bit to Hot Springs and would then ride up north. Never did a lot of riding out in West Texas. Rode up to Colorado a few times on 287 through Amarillo (stopped and camped at Palo Duro one trip). Closest I've been to Fort Davis was riding back from Juarez to Fort Worth on I-10.

Llano Estacado or Llano? Never rode much in west Texas (except 287 down from Colorado). My daughter goes to Llano to a ranch on her mom's side of the family. I liked riding the Hill County but it was a long way to get there from Fort Worth for a weekend trip. My biggest bike regret in Texas is never riding over to Big Bend in the 23 years I lived there.

I live in Knoxville again (after 23 years in Texas) and used to ride "The Dragon" back when not many people knew about it and it was still "Deal's Gap" Me and some buddies ride up there regularly and usually on weekdays when it's not full of tourists (which are fine but frequently cross the yellow line). I loved riding my FZ-07 up there and look forward to picking up my FJ-09 in a few days and getting it up there.

I rode my C14 over to BRMC in Cruso last weekend. Great area.

Been all around there but had to look up where Fayetteville was. I might have to ride down there one day when I go visit my daughter in College Station in July.

Good day ride for me from Knoxville, I've never camped or eaten there but have sat on the front porch a time or two.

I rode the entire Natchez Trace last year on my C14. I'll have to stop there one day. Eaten at the one downtown but never that one.

I rode my 2010 Concours to Moto GP last April and now I've got it up for sale and replacing with a 2015 FJ I'm picking up next week. Spent a fair bit of time in Austin when I lived in FTW. It's a cool city but way too expensive to live there these days.

Did you buy at Tommy's in Clinton? What BBQ place? I'm going to get a 2015 in FL next week and will be riding a lot around the area. I suspect I'll be at Deal's Gap on it soon after I get home. I also like to ride out 116 by the prison. I was a little worried about the height too but went to the store on Clinton Hwy yesterday (buddy is a sales guy there) and rode a new one. It is awesome and only a little bit too tall for me in the lower seat position. I can get both feet down but not flat footed.
