It will be a big seller for them, you want premium features you pay a somewhat premium price. I get that many of you seem to be stuck in your old school mindset, if that's the case just enjoy the current Tracer you have. Change is never going to appease the masses, but in time the masses seem to come around. I can't find anything about this new design I don't like, I believe overall Yamaha has put alot of thought and feedback into this new design. If you like bike models that don't change much from year after year.....get a Harley.
There's change, and there's progressive change, two completely different thing's. Like anything else, some will like, some won't.
I actually think the gen 1 and 2 are good looking bikes, with the later gt having the bells and whistles for those who want.
This gen 3 is a big change. I immediately don't like the long side panels, then the clocks, then the vulnerable sensor. then the headlights.....
I bought a standard 2018 because it ticked my boxes and the price was great. This 2021 is far more expensive and doesn't tick the boxes.
There's a lot of competition out there and maybe Triumphs progress could aid the tracers downfall. Time will tell. 🤷🏻♂️

Well, looks like my 2018 tracer will be my last, unless they back pedal on the styling in a year or two, which I'm sure they will. 👎

It's a backward step for me.. 👎

I'm a convert to the flip front helmet. As been said before, for general road use, lay-by cafe, fuel stops, smoke, shopping, chin wag, there very convenient and safe. 🙂👍
But I do know others who ain't keen either. 🤷♂️

I have the exact same rollie - fits perfectly with the FJR bags mounted. Very sturdy, and I can carry pretty much anything I want.
Only problem being - I tend to keep rain gear in the side bags. With the rollie slung across the seat and over the bags, it's not easy to access said gear if oh, say, all of a sudden the weather changes and I have to gear up STAT. Speaking from experience here.
On trips I use a tankbag aswel for quick access stuff.

How is that screen compared to stock ?
Puig sport screen. I like it. Looks good aswel. No buffering because wind blast hitting chest. Don't like big screens. Little or nothing for me. 👍

Tbf, the new gt photos are pretty rubbish. I shall hold my judgement until I see it proper. 👍

I've seen 133mph and still going. I'm at Portimeo next may, we will see, stock gearing. Plenty quick enough. 👍

When passing big trucks i get buffeted in my car. Keep clear of truck as much as possible. Trucks make turbulence. 🤔

As @Ride365 says, pushing your bike outside and warming to temp is not good. The condensation from inside casings mixes with the oil. Getting water temp up at idle will not get the oil temp up enough to burn off moisture. Imo, it's a 20 mile ride minimum.

I don't let it get too dry. If it gives me a sticky finger all good. Clean with paraffin and 3 sided chain brush now and again, but not often. Gets rid of shit and grit.

My indicators stopped working once. Pulled over, turned key off and on and all good again... I put it down to the 21st century. 🤷🏻♂️
