  1. Was in dilemma when i got mine , in Black Matte 2020 model,  i have in hand a gallon of Meguiar's X-Press Synthetic and wrote to Meguiar's, they confirmed can use on Matte finish. would try Muc Off Matte Finish Detailer when my Meguiar's runs out.

Sadly stone chip etc can't be mend back with polish, intend to repaint to gloss colour when its get real bad, afterall only a small area as most are all plastiky.

Yeah, I use frame sliders, too, for rests.  But, my sliders are back on the mid-frame mount.  So, I can rest my calves on them.  But, I like your idea better, using the front mount location.  Looks like a project this afternoon.

Another one here, rest my shoes on the R&G crash protector (the front one)

So i was looking at the seat and figured I could raise the front a bit more as there's vertical wiggle room between the upper and lower settings where that front tab sits. So.... I grabbed some fender washers and electrical tape and got to work. 3 washers seems to be about the max. There's now no wiggle room up and down and the slope is 3/8" less slope-y 😂.

All original points of contact still make contact. It still seems secure and I think it's a great penny mod. Test rode for half an hour and mucho better.

  4. When I was learning/discover counter steering, many Youtuber explain and show, for beginner like me, they have two hands on handlebar and they comment to press/push left and bike go left, motojitsu explained/show very clearly using cruise control so as one can see clearly his one hand push will put the bike in that direction, no bull, simple.

Just got these neat little Pannier insert bags delivered.

Zippered on both sides and will fold up into a small size when not in use.  There's one inside pouch unzippered and one outside zippered pouch. Comes with built in adjustable shoulder straps.

Should make the luggage management that little bit easier and only have to take them off the bike rather than the whole pannier when staying somewhere.

Dazzler24, been looking at these, with these,  one still need a  bracket/frame on the side right, to hold them together?

  6. Rode 280km under 38c with 68% humidity which is a norm all year, now I realise the windshield (switch to puig) is not helping at all to cool body down, even unzip jacket by half, the shield is blocking the wind, need to standup to get some wind into my jacket! This Weekend am going to try by removing completely the shield and test ride, way too hot with shield on noon ride...errr... first time having a bike with high shield, new experienced.

  7. Welcome to the forum and I must admired you.... 5'6" riding a Tracer... am just 5'8" and already thinking if should have gotten the BMW 750/800 over Tracer due to the height.  my ride buddy is 5'6" and he wanted Tracer, after few test ride, he bought Suzuki GSX (yes, not adventure bike).

I could reach flat foot if i move my ass on one side but during emergency, now that is my worry.  next couple of weeks, going to visit custom made shoes to see if they could increase my height without looking like wearing clogs !

  8. can check out SW MOTECH sliders, looks the same like the yamaha one.

I guess there are 2 side of a coin to bar or sliders and an unfortunate one, its not everyday we get feedback someone drop/crash and share story as much as say a windshield. Guess both offered a certain protection, as for me, i choose sliders as dun like the bulky of bar and my main concern is bike drop, that i cant claim insurance which obvious a bar will give better protection in this case. already had the R&G CP0355 and now thinking if should also get CP0354 or go for bar which i dislike.

  9. Following this thread with interest.....done 1,400km todate, kneee is giving me a slight pain after each ride, need to stretch legs occasionally,  my rubber footpeg arrived yest. and  found need to drill to remove the nut/screw to be able to install. not sure if i want to do that or with rubber footpeg does indeed make a difference or wait till my bike run-in maturely !

  10. Just got my 1000km oil change to RS4GP fully. Was happy to hear I could bring my own oil next change, as need to record for warranty.

I still have Mobil 1 Vtwin 20w/50 (use it on Triump t100) anyone in hot climate use it on tracer, given my climate all year range 32-41c, feel dun need 5,10,15w but to be honest am not so sure and don’t want take chances given it’s a new bike.

  11. GTO MIKE... does this pyramid need to drill holes to the ori fender. due to excitement on my new bike, i ordered the R&G front fender which arrived today and looking at the instruction, it provide 4 pivot (dunno exact name) to drill, i wud guess all extension needs unless one change the whole fender.

  12. just installed grip puppies and taken at 50km ride. definitely in my opinion vibration is reduce much lesser, while cruising can still feel the vibration but its a soft vibration.

my concern is Tracer Gt has heated grips. anyone use heated grips switch on with Grip Puppies as dare not switch on the heated grips to try.

  13. did 200km yesterday, vibration is there, ordered the Grip Puppies see if helps and next change would be rubber peg. following on the riser if just plug and play or need to adjust cable length.

however did notice stock left mirror at speed 100-130km, its clear, however on the right mirror its blur due to vibration. came back and tighthen but seems none came loose, not sure if these are common issue or defect on the right mirror.

  14. Good Read on these topic. tot higher screen are better against wind buffeting, omit to understand the bad wind. Already pre-order the Puig but can reject later if dun want. Shall try naked without windshield this weekend if its much better than stock windshield and perhaps to consider a shorter windscreen instead. Mmmmmm.......
