Anybody try running the CP3 on mid-grade?

Will the ECU compensate for that?

Don't do it, its a high compression engine and I am certain the engine does not have a knock/detonation sensor.   That would be the only way the ECU could respond and retard timing.   If you already have AT LEAST  half a tank of 91 then I'd say its OK to add some regular if needed just to get you home.

I did the conversion to make it more relatable to you guys across the pond. My observations show £1.69 - £1.74 per litre. Don’t get me started on Motorway (freeway/expressway) service station prices! Up to £1.95. They think they can charge what they like because they have a captive audience.

I figured you did.  Canada switched to metric in 1975..  Much better system but the change caused an airliner crash afterwards due to a mixup in pounds vs. kilograms. when the plane was being refueled.  In pounds sterling, for your convenience, here its about £1.30

I noticed no mention of throttle body synchronization having been performed (or not). This, according to my user manual, needs to be done every 4000 miles. 🙄  Was this ever done on your bike?

Being an electronics-ey guy, I'd be more suspicious of a bad TPS at the grip, only because  I can't see how TB sync would have anything to do with the fluctuations in RPM at steady throttle.

My Canadian 2019 Tracer GT does not use transponder keys.  I bent one of my keys in the side case lock or the seat lock (not sure which) just yesterday, ran down today to the local locksmith and left 5 minutes later with two new keys (same as the one in the picture above) for a grand total of $8.00.  Works perfectly.  The code series for the blank is Yamaha A8001-8250.

Was that the ILCO blank that was used or the Yamaha blank?  Did your locksmith have the Ilco blank?  I guess I'm confused since you posted the Yamaha #.

This is a totally stock windscreen, right from the factory. Cosmetics are obviously different from OEM: I have painted the *inside* of the windscreen a matte-black. The front side of the windscreen is still it's original clear acrylic; together with the matte-black on the inside, it gives the illusion of a high-gloss black.

For those that are about to ask how can I see through this screen - you can't. Fortunately, there is never a time I want to look through the windscreen, even in its upper position.

So was the back surface sanded to prep for paint?  You'd almost think that if it was sanded even with a very fine grit, you'd see the scuffing in front of the paint layer.    I'd love to do this to mine.

Love it.  I shortened my stock screen by cutting 3 inches off the top.  Kinda was forced to as it had become badly scratched by a barb wire fence.  I maintained the corner radius   (ie)  took a wedge-shaped piece off the upper corners as well, to maintain the same shape.  Still like the shape of these screens more than any other screen I've looked at.

Where I live, riding season is 12 months long. I feel so much sorrow for those who live in winter wonderlands. Reading the OP joy at the new season where he lives, I want to say Yeah! At least he relives the joy as fresh, whereas here in CA we get a little jaded from being able to ride almost every day.

I believe that living where you do is generally better for your health than here in the great white north.  Unless you're the type who gets outside for winter sports regularly.   But getting back on the bike come spring gives us something to look forward to over the winter and many of us don't get jaded by the time it gets too cold in the fall.
