  1. Petshark, that stand is different in that the side to the left that would face away from the bike is thicker than the side to the right. That wedge shape would correct the toe in the air problem some cited earlier. That it the problem that make the bike feel unstable when you put weight on the foot peg. Shows Yamaha knows about the issue. A little more metal on the end of the bike stand also could take care of that instability at least on solid ground like my garage floor. Thanks for posting that image. Wish I could read German (?) NONE of the aftermarket foot plates I see on the 'net are that wedge shaped and why they all still give that nose in the air.

  2. Seems to me from the factory and after dealer prep nuts and bolts ought to me securely fastened and the spec torque applied. But hey, we get to replace the stuff that falls off. If they aren't going to do that then at least blue locktite the stuff. I've been lucky to get 5 new bikes over the years and the screws on bar end weights are usually secure, but not always.

  3. My bike is brand new with a total of 4 miles on the odometer. It's really crappy weather so I'm going over the bike checking everything I can get to without disassembly. The loise bar end screws have to be dealer assembly of a new bike. Rarely do I use red loctite, those screws got blue. Just passing along a heads up. Farkling continues. I had 3 bikes not too long ago each with specific kits. Now I'm sorting duplicate tools and misc from each into 1for the Tracer.

  4. Weather has been crap since I got my '20 tracer 900GT home. Been going over it, added SAE connector for Battery Tender and what ever else works there, added Tourmaster heated gear connector, side stand foot expander (not sure I like yet). and have some other things on the way. Need to stop spending for awhile! Going over bolts and screws I found the bar end weight screws barely finger tight. Think I'll apply some red locktite and check them when riding with heated grips on. My local dealer had this bike earlier but sold it I thought when it didn't show on inventory. Today though they had the bike in stock on the floor. And they had a sold FJ-09 '15 on the floor marked sold. Had I seen that earlier I may have bought it, no blemishes anywhere, no idea of mileage but I bet low. Oh well. Anyway, CHECK YOU SCREWS!

  5. The reason I ask what bike is I went to the web site and the model # listed is Tracer 700. Kept searching and the foot for the '20 Tracer 900GT is $42.09 with delivery April 6-27 from Uncle tiger - US, but it must be coming from overseas somewhere like China maybe.

  6. I understand the impacts of lowering links, side stands may be too tall, center stands difficult to use, etc. The Tracer side stand on my 2 day new to me 2020 Tracer 900GT is ridiculously short making it very close to the bike and lean angle uncomfortable. I do use the foot pegs to mount the bike. I have spent time searching for links and stands but other than some place in Great Britain, no luck. Where are you guys getting those items from or are they victims of the covid crap, hence not available. Appreciate any help. Thanks.
