If it wasn't for price and reliability issues I would have gone with the BMW 1000XR but after getting the T9GT I'm glad I went with the 21 T9GT as I really don't miss the 30 to 50 more hp. I no longer have that need for speed at my age and physical condition.

You can also pick one up on Ebay.

I have no issues with my size 45 (10.5 US) shifting. I did notice that the thicker soles of my hiking boots does impede shifting a little bit but still usable.

Yamalube all the way.

I bought a power pack/jumper box from Amazon for $40. It is a Buture car battery jump starter 12800mah.

I have the same one @Heli ATP is showing above and am very happy with it. It does vibrate more than my Ram handle bar mount, but it's out of the weather.
I fixed that vibration/bouncing by putting some adhesive backed foam between the mount and windscreen control, then I used some shim material to finish the job. Rock steady now.

I had my GARMIN mounted on one of these. It made adjusting the screen height pretty awkward and it vibrated a little on rough roads but it certainly was a good spot to see the GPS and kept it off the handlebars.
I bought a similar item off of Ebay but it has only two RAM ball positions then I added the Quad Lock ball mount. I used shims to keep that "adapter" from bouncing around a lot and used Quad vibration damper.

I just installed the Harmon Kardon speakers in my helmet and changed the speaker setting on my SENA 50S. Big improvement.

I got my SW-Motech bars in a week.

Yes, putting the signal back in is a real PITA. both of mine have popped off ay one time or another. There is a retainer that holds the signal in place but it is very difficult to get on. I found that if you insert the bottom tab in first you can then use a small screw driver to lift the top part of thee rubber and pop the retainer in place.

I'm glad that you mentioned after the flash your bike rides better because I thought I was going crazy. I got mine back this past week and have put roughly 150mi on it and it rides worse. Noticeable surge on decel, and I had one startup where the engine stalled when I opened the throttle to start moving... which is what this current recall is supposed to fix.
It's so bad that I'm sure the dealer flashed the wrong file into my ECU, definitely taking it back.
Yes, take it back. I had both recall fixes and the bike runs great. I did have to get used to the lurching when you hit the clutch friction zone but after a few times you get the hang of it and it's smooth as silk.

I had my 2021 T9GT in the shop for the recalls and have not noticed any difference in throttle response but then I usually keep it in Mode 2.

The owners manual has a section on removing the fairing. Primitive though.
Nope, the manual that comes with the 2021 T9GT doesn't show any panel removal. It says to go to the dealer for any service event for setting shock preload and chain maintenance.

I thought it looked good when I bought it in 2021. Since then I have gotten compliments from others, more than any bike I've owned in the past.
I'm glad they toned down the adventure bike look.

You need to put the helmet in upside down. Is it an XXXL?

Some USB adapters fit snug and some don't. I have about 6 of them til I found one the stay put.

I usually ride in mode 2 as I'm in Chicago traffic a lot. In town I get about 40 to 42 mpg. Mode 1 will burn a bit more gas and mode 3 feels like it's strangling the bike. Forget about mode 4 (rain) it really cuts down your throttle response.
Out cruising on the highways I get between 45 to 50+ mpg keeping below 75 mph.

Yes apparently! For my needs if the device can't figure out the correct route on its own then I have no use for it. I'm pretty spur-of-moment/ad-hoc versus planning everything in advance. I'm sure it works brilliantly for those who have the time and inclination to complete the additional steps.
The XT does a very good job calculating routes but it goes by the Navigation setting you input. By default it programs the fastest route which takes you on mostly highways even if you slide it to aggressive ride. Even when using Trip Planner you need to override the computer's selection of roads. But if you're a hop-on and go rider the XT will give you the Fastest or Shortest route depending on your Navigation setting.

You need to use Trip Planner or Basecamp to program a correct route in the Garmin Zumo XT. Using Where To will get you into places you didn't plan on going. 😁

Riding in Chicago's stop and go traffic will drop my avg fuel to 42mpg. Also makes my left hand stronger from using the clutch constantly.

Yes, in 2021 there was a recall to replace cracked throttle tubes for the 2021 T9GT.

Trigger was pulled.

My dealer quoted me $246 for the rear and $171 for the front Road 6 tires.

You will really enjoy the Road 6s. They're not sport tires but they do a good job in most road conditions and will last to 10 to 12K miles.
