  1. Heated grips were installed today after 6 months of back order. The electronics integration seems top notch. I'll do a video review in a week or two.
  2. Excellent. Welcome to the Corbin/FJ family. Nice to have a real seat, eh?
  3. As I told my wife, I spent the day getting to know my new lady. I installed some of the parts that have been arriving. I raised the shifter 2 mm to fit under my boots better. Still a few things to add ... New larger, softer pegs. I had to drill out the rivet on the left one. Did not eliminate any buzz on the highway, but it seemed a bit more comfortable on my ride today. Billet stem caps. I had these left over from a custom build. ASV levers. These bolt right on without fuss. A lot to disassemble to get at the pivot nut. They feel and work very well. I lengthen the mirror a bit with the stock adjustment nuts. They are a tad wider and taller now.
  4. I agree on the earplugs and use them more and more now. Unfortunately the Givi doesn't meet my second basic criteria of making the bike look worse.
  5. @redfjniner Thanks. For me it comes down to noise and can't ruin the look of the bike. That's a pretty low "perfect" bar . I like your DIY model. BTW. I am 5'10' with 31" inseam. For me. The stock windscreen's problem seems to be turbulent air around the vertical edges. I simply think the vertical edge shape needs to be different. I'm going to start working on options.
  6. Parabellum may have just produced the best designed touring screen. This looks perfect - now does it work? I've decided yesterday after a long ride that noise is the issue and not buffeting for me. I'm not looking for a windless ride. I'm looking for a less noisy one now. I like the Ermax, but reviews are so mixed I'm hesitant to go down that path.
  7. Rev'it Raceway with cooling vest. Sand 2 pant with the liners left at home.
  8. Wow. The Givi looks like it will push a lot of wind. Not a fan of the design.
  9. Perfect! Thanks for the connector information. I've been cutting into wiring harnesses for a long time on 30 year old bikes, but I'm going to keep this one tight and tidy.
  10. Thanks. I ordered some clear ones. Does anyone know were we can buy OEM connectors without having to cut up our original parts? On the extenders I think I can get 1 inch length. Do you think 1 inch would be good enough for a standard stature rider?
  11. Were those clear flasher lenses just plug and play? What kind are they? They look like perfect replacements. Are the mirror extenders 2". Would 1" be long enough?
  12. Hi all, I am thinking of putting together an online tool that will map screen performance (wind, noise, quality) against torso height and riding style. Essentially, the goal is to move from anecdotes to a consensus driven way to choose a screen. Any thoughts on how this should work?
  13. Thanks for the analysis. It may be the combination of increased air pressure on the rear and hitting the bigger screen. This is good to know as I was looking at the wind screen. We look forward to more analysis.
  14. I see wobble, but it isn't clear that it is front end wobble. I've never seen this. What do you have on the back of your bike? Here is how to create a link at specific time point: "
