basstodave
How does anyone get a socket into the well on the mirror mounting post? I think it is 10mm but there isn't any clearance to fit a 1/4" drive socket into. I'm trying to figure out the best way to adjust the mirror and would like to understand how this assembly is pieced together. http://s1248.photobucket.com/user/basstodave/library/FJ-09%20mirror?sort=3&page=
steve
I used an Allen Key / Hex wrench on mine. One of them, I think the left side, is reverse threaded

steve
Sorry different terms for the same thing. I know them as Allen keys, but see that is a trade name, best I use a picture
basstodave
Steve, did you look at the photobucket picture I posted a link to? Where do you see a socket head screw that would use an allen key?
mjsracing
I can confirm nothiing other that an allen key (hex key) is needed. I removed the stock black spacer and added a 10mm nut and ram ball on the bolt. Great place for my GPS to mount.
