goodricht
Hey everyone, So I recently busted a mirror on my FJ and need to replace it. But I've honestly never been a fan of the stock mirrors anyway... So I'm wondering if anyone on here has put something different on their bike, and if anyone could give me some examples or ideas for mirrors that you think go well with the look of the bike. There are so many angles and lines on the FJ's, I feel like it deserves a better looking mirror than what comes stock. I have even looked at some mirrors that mount just past the end of the hand grips. A friend of mine put some of those on his KTM Super duke and it looked sharp! Look crap but YMMV http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/mirrors/bike-it-universal-bar-end-mirror Lots of choices here. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/mirrors/bike/yamaha/2014/mt-09 I think I would plump for the aero as it is different, although I have been happy with the originals, but a pair of aftermarket ones is sure to be cheaper than a single Yamaha part This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is. goodricht
To some extent... These are the ones I've recently found that I kind of like. Still looking. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bike-master-oval-clamp-on-mirrors But I do like the hand guards on the FJ despite what many other people seem to say on the forum. Haha. Which I'm pretty sure these would work. There's close to an inch on the plastic between the end of the grip and where the edge of the guard starts. Might order them and check them out since revzilla has free returns!
Premium Member wessie Posted September 7, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted September 7, 2015 those oval jobs don't look as if they will give a wide enough view - they need a bend in the shaft. Ended up just buying another stock mirror to replace my broken one.
