Premium Member jeff400650 Posted September 17, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted September 17, 2015 I am eager to do the flash. The bike just feels kind of sick and sputtery at small, constant throttle input. Also hard to ride without that little extra hit when reopening throttle at mid turn. I might make a trip of it and ride up to WA from home in Marin County, CA. If i plan in advance and get in the shop on a Monday morning, can I be on my way by noon or so? Also, is it possible to set it so that the bike stays in whatever ride mode it was left in when ridden last (instead of choosing A or STD)? Pistons or pedals, 2 wheels are where it's at... toast
In the mean time, try adjusting some of the slack out of your throttle cables. It really does help make it less abrupt.
Premium Member jeff400650 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted September 18, 2015 OK. I'll give it a shot. I'm taking off on a 7 day trip in 2 days. I love the bike. I could ride it as is forever and be happy, but if it can be a bit smoother, I would like to make it happen. Pistons or pedals, 2 wheels are where it's at... rocky5000100
I mostly ride in B mode around town, it's very smooth. Apparently after the flash, A and Standard are just as smooth for roll-on. I'm looking forward to that.
Premium Member jeff400650 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Premium Member Share Posted September 18, 2015 I can't make myself stay in B mode for more than a couple of minutes. I just love that crisp, linear thrust you get from A mode. The bike feels perfect when I am accelerating up thru the gears. But I would not complain if it got a bit more HP in the process.
