squidproquo
Has anyone seen any add-on extensions for the stock handguards? I have a set of Acerbis handguards on my supermoto that have available extensions that help with the wind in cold weather. I think they would be fairly easy to fab by hand for the FJ, perhaps sandwiching some heavy plastic between the two layers of plastic already on the guard. I'm going to see what I can do but in my case it's a bit complicated with the Ebay LED's I've already added.
bikecab
I thought I saw a post somewhere about fitting the KTM 1190 handguards with no modifications. I just picked up my used FJ yesterday and love it, but I did think that is the one mod I might consider. So if I find it again I will post it. I have the KTM handguards as mentioned in this thread, with photos http://fj-09.org/thread/1646/fitted-any-alternative-hand-guards I will use some Tucano Urbano muffs when it gets properly cold. Combined with heated grips my hands will be toasty in summer gloves. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is. My bike is faster than the Renault van he uses to take it from A to B. This signature is left blank as the poster writes enough pretentious bollocks as it is. My bike is faster than the Renault van he uses to take it from A to B. I think that thing must be unbelievably uncomfortable, everywhere he goes now he wants to ship it in a van... I bet next year he rides Aka's Fazer while she brings the KTM in a van! I have to admit I am feeling more and more partial to a R1 for weekend fun.
