tripleb
Hello all, I'm not sure if this is a frequent issue but my electronic fuel gauge seems to be sticking. If I fill the bike before a long ride, it seems to take forever for the gauge to move, and when it finally does it drops like a rock. You would look at your gauge one second, and it reads full after 70 or so miles, then you look again a few moments later and it's reading at a 1/2 tank or so. What gives? Is this a common issue? norcal616
Motorcycle gas gauge do not go down nicely like a car does if thats what your thinking... my first bar drops at 100 miles... then at 170-180 miles the last few bars go poof and I hit reserve... bike holds just over 4.5gals... majority of us go by miles per tank rather than use the gas gauge... I believe the gauge behaves like this do to the odd shape of motorcycle gas tanks rather than the nice linear shaped gas tanks found in automobiles... 2012 wr250f - C-class 30+ age group 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition-80whp 2015 fj-09- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich tune by 2WDW @120whp

IH Biker
The gauge is only for reference. When I had my FJR, the first bar won't even drop off till 120miles. But after.. the bars go off after fairly short distance.
koth442
I look at them as: Good. Used a bit of gas. Think about getting gas. Get gas. Why the phuck didn't you get gas sooner?? '15 FJ09
