pattonme
The FZ07 has gobs of room compared to the FZ09 to get access to the preload rings. The solution is simple - buy a new shock that wasn't designed by idiots. The shock is free, the stamped steel tool however, is $500 *grin*
skipperT
There you go. FWIW, I don’t have my FJ near me, but that spanner wrench pictures DOES work on the preload adjuster for an FZ07. Barely, but it fits. Feels a bit more secure than my universal one actually. ... Skip.. try it on the FJ. There's little room on the underside of the adjuster ring. Have a look at the OE wrench (super narrow wall). What you're showing won't fit. Yep you’re right - I must have used something else when I softened mine up. Haven’t touched it since. Was probably a hammer and a punch. ? -Skip
