FJ09 threw 091 fault code

Recommended Posts

Leaving work yesterday I keyed on the bike, put on my helmet, and then pressed the starter button and the engine cranked and cranked, maybe 8-10 times, but never actually fired.  I stopped cranking and noticed a code on the display "091".

I turned off the key and let it sit for 30 secs, turned on the key and let it do its fancy "boot up" display thing, and then pressed the starter button and it started like normal.  The issue didn't happen this AM.

I googled it, but I can't find anything for fault/error code 091.

Does anyone know what it means?

I dont even see 091 on the list

12 Crankshaft Position sensor
13, 14, 20, 25, 26 Intake air pressure sensor
15 Throttle Position sensor
19 Kickstand Switch
21 Coolant temperature switch
22 Intake air temperature sensor
24 Oxygen sensor
30 & 41 Lean angle sensor
33, 34, and 35 Ignition coil 1, 2, and 3 respectively
39 Fuel Injector
42 Rear wheel speed sensor, clutch switch, or neutral switch
43 Fuel system voltage low
46 Charging voltage abnormal
50 ECU memory
59 Accelerator Position Sensor
60 YCCT malfunction
69 Front wheel speed sensor

Now if it was code 019 then I could understand your situation (I can relate since I am occasionally dyslexic)

Thanks, ya, I'm pretty sure it was 091, but, maybe I am mixing up the numbers.  Only explanation I can come up with. Thanks

As stated above There have been other threads about an error code 019 that have similar symptoms to what you are describing. If I remember correctly the solution/problem was the key was not turned fully in the ignition. I had the error 19 just twice and turning it off and on solved it for me.
