Mx4life120
Will the GPR dampener work on the FJ?
scuff
It should be the same fitting as the MT/FZ-09. I have one on the way, I'll let you know.
deersSlayer
Will the GPR dampener work on the FJ? What does the 'dampener' do? Cool down the exhaust with water spray? Cool the piston skirts with oil spray?Pre-wet the bike before a wash? FJ-09, 690 Enduro R. Back Roads. Period.
FigJam-OhNine
Is this something that's really necessary on an FJ?
scuff
Managed an indicated 135 on mine today, and yes, it does need it. Not all of the time, but I often get a lot of shake when accelerating hard and oscillation at high speeds.
Mx4life120
I like to wave at people while doing standing wheelies My dirtbike has one stock so the speed doesn't mean anything.
Mx4life120
Yea it has some wiggle to it on occasion and a good dampener wouldn't hurt.
chris618
Good one deerslayer. Lol Dampner, not dampener. Try sliding your forks up in the triple clamps 2-3mm first. This will put more weight on the front end and possibly stabilizing it. Worked when I was road racing a motard. That dirt bike fender would catch air and lighten the front end making it flighty and head shake over hills.

Premium Member peporter Posted March 26, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted March 26, 2015 Although they don't list a model specifically for the FJ, I bet they could come up with something for us. http://www.scottsonline.com/index.php
